When Anakin is forced to temporarily turn over command of his clone troopers to a new commander, the Jedi Pong Krell, tensions begin to run high as the clones are assigned with a very deadly mission to take the capital of Umbara.

Oh yeah, now that I see it on a better monitor I can definitely make out the chibi-Numa.

 

Could it be? An episode NOT starring a movie character?

This is the moment of truth for this season. This arc has a lot going for it, and I'm very confident it will be pretty awesome. The fact that the stupid besalisk uber-Jedi seems to have been written as almost a villain, instead of just "oh, look how cool this Jedi is, he has TWO double lightsabers!" gives me hope that the writers for this arc actually know what they are doing.

But if this doesn't go well.... oh, things could turn ugly...

 

No, I don't see any Gungan Army.

 

Yay Obi & not Ashoka yet! It could actually be decent.

 

I meant the imagery, it looks like the Kaadu's coming out of the mist in The Phantom Menace.

 

Is that Waxer there?- With picture of Numa in his helmet.... sweet.... Don't die Waxer! Obi-Wan probably has only few lines, but anyway- nice to see Obi-Ani team after all these Anakin-Padmé adventures....

Cool new capital ships (barshot-cruisers) and headhunters are also coming- coolness....so there is also space action! If only we would also see Yularen again new model with a cap I remember Dave saying naval clones would also have caps from now on.... such a minor thing but it is almost as cool as addition of pilot droids would be....

I'm now like ten-year old fanboy waiting for this - looks SO COOL! Maybe episodes drop me from the cloud nine though But I remain there unless something ruins this arc ....

Time to lock and load!

I think I'm more excited for these episodes than the premiere for Season 4

 

BRING.IT.ON.

 

The more I learn about it, the less I like it.

I'm actually really hoping for a C'Baoth type of Jedi. Someone who is arrogant, to the point where he believes his ability to use the Force makes him better than everyone around him (in this case, the clones).

Looking forward to this. Hopefully it can pull TCW out of the rut it's in and bring it back up to pre-S3 quality.

 

eh I don't care. I feel like taking another week off of TCW.

 

I have high hopes, but I'm not sure I should, it can't be any worse than the droids ones.

 

I don't see how I won't like the next 4 episodes. There is alot to look forward to in the Umbara arc from the previews, teasers, and screen caps released. This episode is the beginning of more good times for me this season.

 

Hopefully this will make what has otherwise been a pretty lackluster season awesome.

 

They've got to really try hard to do royally screw this one up. I mean, either they go down the road of the Mon Cal arc and manage to turn a clone arc into a total snooze fest, or they go off the deep end trying to depict the clones as sympathetic characters and have them take a trip to the clone spa halfway through the episode.

 

Pong Krell needs to snap the 501st into shape!

 

Luckily, if they do this episode right, the episodes that follow can hopefully be very interesting as well.

Things we know are still coming...

1. Return of Ventress and the witches, in what could be an interesting battle against the separatists.
2. Return of Bane, with possible badly needed prison break episode.
3. Death Watch episode.
4. Oppress and Maul - which, as bad as the idea of bringing him back may be, will almost certainly be more entertaining than the last few episodes.
5. Slaver Arc

Of all those things, only the slaver arc is one I'm not looking forward too, and that's because we already have the story and know what happens.

Unless some of these events occur within the same episode, we may well already have a fairly rough outline of the remainder of the season. Not much we don't know about it seems.

 

You know, I hope that the show takes into account the 501st's fragmented command structure. I always liked how they operated as special detachments to other legions and battalions.

 

I was originally very skeptical about the "two double bladed sabers" thing, but I'm actually okay with them if they're there to symbolize just how arrogant and unnecessarily brutal this guy is. I read something once that said double bladed sabers were not prohibited, but generally frowned upon by Jedi, as the weapon is meant to defend and not to attack, so two blades is unnecessary. This guy obviously has something other than defense in mind.

In other words, I'm glad his two sabers aren't just to give him badass points.
