Full Series The Clone Wars: Episode 412: Slaves of the Republic Discussion Thread

That actually sounds decent other than the AnakinQueen romance and the Queen's death, which is like some bad fanfic.

 

Without giving too much away, I thought the Queen was one of the more interesting Separatists the Clone Wars comics developed. If only because her morals weren't entirely black and white.

Also, in the comic, she was one of the 12 Separatist Council members. Seen alongside Shu Mai, Wat Tambor, etc.

It would be GREAT if we could see part of the Sep Council in this episode.

Also, she had ambitions to outrank Dooku. To my knowlwdge, the only other Separatist to try this was Passel Argente in the Clone Wars comics.

Decent start to the trilogy, looking forward to this one.

I wonder who the dead Togruta is? Or at least, knocked out.

Really looking forward to see how they animate the light-whips.

 

Is Anakin grabbing the end of one of those whips?

 

When watching the trailers for s4 I always assumed this fight would be the climax of this arc, its really weird that something that looks that awesome will be in part 2 of 3.

 

Didn't we already see them in use during last week's episode? The Slaver used it against Obi Wan in the tower.

 

Anakin sure is holding his saber suggestively.

 

I didn't even notice that the first time, and then you had to make me go back and check...

Stuff always looks better in the trailers.

 

Don't trust their trailers. That's why I just ignore them.

 

Trailers always do that. Don't get me started on "Men Who Stare At Goats".

 

That movie was still hilarious regardless of the misleading trailer.

 

No sir, I didn't like it. Usually my wacked sense of humor likes that stuff.

 

I loved that movie, how was the trailer misleading?

 

Actually, he only used it against Ahsoka, and that was off-screen. We just saw him ignite it and whip the air a few times, we didn't actually see it clash with a lightsaber or a person, which is what.

 

Y'know, the effort that went into animating all those lightwhips is probably the reason they had to cut back on animating the Zygerrians' red hair.

 

I find that to be a lousy excuse.

 

They could have used the same type of hair the Daughter used. My guess is that they chose to use a completely different design from the original comic. Not just the characters, but the planets, etc... No excuses nor laziness.

 

Nobody here gets a joke anymore.
