The resemblance to Padawan Lost in that shot is uncanny.

Or maybe she's about to be eaten by that angry bird.:p

Yeah -- if they're subtle about it, that's a great way to do a homage.

God dammit Barriss, you and your ninja posting.

Well in that case they combined the two brilliantly. Synergy FTW.

For a slave, Ahsoka sure looks regal. And shouldn't she be handcuffed or something?

I kind of hope she's meditating or something in that cage shot. We haven't seen Ahsoka meditate since the Aurra Sing episode (sorry, can't remember the title). Would be a good way to showcase her maturity, since when she was younger she wasn't so good at sitting still or staying calm.

I'm really worried about the dialogue in this episode. So many opportunities for cheesy "how dare you" lines from Ahsoka. Not that they'd be all her fault - Anakin just seems to have an odd way of directing "undercover" missions.

Still hoping for something good from Rex this time around. A good fist fight would be nice, but I'm still holding out hope for something more substantial

Ahsoka looks like a Disney princess in her meditation show. She's actually kinda pretty there. The look on her face when she's looking at Anakin with the queen is comical as well. Lol, it looks like a velociraptor is sticking its head in her cage. The way everything so far from this episode make me laugh reminds me of "Mercy Mission." I really hope Rex does something this one as well. Looking forward to that fist fight. Boosh! I don't know who that guy is but punch his face in so hard he forgets his math Rex!

Has it been stated exactly what the whips are? The yellow part looks to be pure energy but the tendrils at the end definitely look material. I ask because, if the whip is pure energy, it would technically be the first G-Canon lightwhip.

    TCW isn't G, it's T. :p

Also odds are that weapon is a shock whip, like this:

    It's not a lightwhip, it's a shock whip.

Lightwhips cut like lightsabers, just with a little less muscle.

Slavers don't want to kill their slaves, just subjugate them.

Shock whips use electricity to shock/stun.

    Ninja'd by GG.

Odds are they'll still call them lightwhips throughout the epsiode.

Yeah, that was my reasoning as well, until I remembered the show would rather have an awsome EU weapon to play around with than make the reasonable choice of an electro-whip. :p

Ooh, I can see right off the bat that AdmNick's going to go crazy over the number of new ships in this episode.

I wonder what Anakin whispered to the queen, though given Ahsoka's reaction, I'm certain it's rated at least PG-13.[face_blush] Should Padmé learn of this, I think Anakin's going to be in the doghouse the size of a Trade Federation Battleship.

Yep, this is definitely turning into a PG-13 rating - the torture of Obi-Wan.

A tribute to ROTJ, but it turned into a disaster this time.

Good one on Ahsoka's part. A part of me is hoping that the ending of this arc is the same as in the comic digest - Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Rex acknowledging why Anakin hated slavery and coming to understand him a little. Can't wait for the finale.

I actually enjoyed it somewhat, I didn't read the comic so it's nice to see they actually failed at the end with all of them getting captured.

The battle scars on Obi-Wan was awesome though, the show has never shown something that detailed when it comes to cuts and bruises.

The Ep. VI reference fit in so naturally, and thank Crom it made Kiner feel compelled to use some JW. [face_dancing]

I really dislike how TCW handles the Jedi.

Dark Lord Tarkas: No, just no. I'm not saying that because it was a reference, but when TCW does shove in OT references like that, you know it's completely unbearable. R2 held the sabers, but the Jedi and R2 did not plan anything in terms of future events. What was the purpose of all those hand gestures? When did you guys have time to discuss all that and how perfectly it fell into place? No, they didn't. It's TCW and they had to insert "random OT moment here."

These Wolverine Zygerrians are Egyptians with Russian accents. Cool.

I would expect a race who had their past glory taken from them by the Jedi to have the attitude toward the Jedi expressed in this episode. Good sociology, TCW.

The Ep. VI trick happened to be perfect for the situation they were in, and it worked out the opposite of how it worked out in Ep. VI. That's anything but forced and unbearable. And they don't need to show a scene where they set it up, that's half the point - just like in Ep. VI. Do you or does anyone know if that was in the comic?

If species in TCW had to have an Earth-English-accent corresponding with which Earth-culture most closely resembles their clothing, that would be really, really dumb and get really, really stale really, really fast. [face_tired]
