"Trust is the greatest of gifts, but it must be earned."

The Chancellor travels to Naboo to preside over a public ceremony, guarded by Jedi Knights. Dooku and his bounty hunters -- including an undercover Obi-Wan Kenobi -- launch their kidnapping plot.

It's going to be interesting (I hope) to see Obi-Wan/Rako & bounty hunters against what appears to a formidable cadre of Jedi. From the screen shot on the official site, it appears that most of them are Council members in the know.

By Naboo, I wonder if Ahsoka will know and if she'll have a showdown with "Rako" if she doesn't?

Why isn't Padme having a welcome-home ceremony and parade before the requisite peace conference?

I seriously doubt that Anakin hasn't told her by now.

So far Anakin has only been told that Obi-wan is alive. Not where he is and what he's doing. I'm sure Anakin has told Ahsoka about that but I bet he still isn't gonna know Obi-wan is Hardeen and so neither will Ahsoka.

I'm a bit at a loss here. Does Anakin KNOW Hardine is really Obi-Wan in disguise? In "Friends and Enemies" he said he sensed Obi-Wan was still alive. In "The Box" Yoda told him Kenobi was alive and was to be left alone. But I don't remember the connection between Hardine and Kenobi being really made at any point.

Did I miss something or is this plot really that stupid?

Do you really not expect Anakin to be capable of connecting up the dots? Why do we have to regress to pre-school levels of writing where every plot detail gets spelt out for us like we're unable to reach these incredibly obvious conclusions without someone's hand guiding us through every step?

My problem is that, since the writers didn't actually show us that Anakin knows Hardine is Kenobi, he might actually NOT know. If during this episode we see that Anakin is already aware of this fact, all will be well. But if it turns out he doesn't actually know, the arc will have a hard time recovering from such idiocy.

God I hope the captured Separatist Leaders are in this one being set free.

Don't even bother mentioning it if it's not going to be shown...

It'll be funny if Anakin finds out right at the last moment.

I still side with Anakin has not connected the dots and does not know Hardeen is Obi-wan. He knows Obi-wan is alive and off somewhere, that's it. Anakin has never exactly been the brightest glowstick at the rave.

Thanks to some amazing new surgery, Obi-Wan is the guy with the tentacle legs.

I'm apprehensive about this episode. First 2 were great, last was pointless. Is there too much to cram in?

I'm optimistic this one will deliver. The plot and the way the events unfold in this episode don't seem like they can go wrong. Not in as many ways as I though "Carnage of Krell" might fall flat. Remember when the information about Krell being a traitor first hit the fan and people were losing it? I'm most worried its going to get rushed

I think I'll be on the opposite side and say this arc is a disappointment so far.

That screen shot looks more like Dooku's 11 or something. I dunno, we'll see how this goes I guess.

What I see: So we have GI Joe, James Bond, Face/off, Western films, The Cube, Resident Evil, Pirates, (I do see KOTOR's test room for the Box), Ocean's 11 all in this arc.

For Ocean's, I need to see the episode first before I actually can see it. The other examples do exist in the other episodes. Dooku recruiting bounty hunters and testing them does seem Ocean's-y.

According to last episode's trivia, there was originally a sub plot of Anakin trying to find the real Rako but it got cut for time (good decision I think. Some episodes should just be focused like a laser), so I think he knows.

Whatever, just get this over with so I can see Maul 2.0. =P~

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to this. :p

I wonder if Embo is really going to take part in the plot - he may have got involved so he can foil it. Maybe him and Twazzi are working together.

Also, this ep is on Naboo so I hope they might have some TPM characters make an appearance. Maybe there won't be enough time for that though.

    Derrown: breach a shield
    Eval: get-away driver
Embo & Twazzi: guard the Chancellor
    Hardeen: sniper
    Bane & Dooku: ????????

We know some of them have to go free at some point, so I'm half expecting this kidnapping plot to succeed. Maybe.

Y'know, I wouldn't mind seeing these guys together again in the future as some sort of recurring "team." Of course, they'd need Obi-Wan, so it wouldn't work.

...Unless that's what he was up to during the Dark Times? :p

Yeah, that's just what the plot needs:
Ric Olie (points at Hardeen): Hey, it's Obi-Wan Kenobi!

It's probably not going to happen, but it would be cool if Embo was secretly hired by Obi-Wan and the Jedi Council to help foil Morally Evil's plan. :p
