A rare post here.
Maybe. For me, this was the worst episode of the season. If the last 2 parts are interesting, it's still a bad arc IMO. This episode felt more like a filler to kill air time than anything else.
I think what will save to arc is how much we learn about what the Republic wanted to steal so much and what this big attack the Separatists are planning. Its all about the pay off. The animation in TCW always looks awesome and fun. That's not the only thing TCW tends to have going for it however.
Is there a caption thread going on again, like the 'title this picture' from years ago?
Thank you! Gads, that used to be fun. The site probably awards a 'No-Prize' now, but I'll take it.
So the break means no Gregor? How fitting.
It will be interesting to see if they tie in the droids story more and more with the main storylines, i.e. Ahsoka, Rex/the Clones, Anakin, Obi-Wan vs. Maul/mandalorians, Ventress, and Pirates/Bounty Hunters. I've been compelled with how they've been bringing these strands together this season, and we already know that they will cross paths with Gregor halfway through this arc.
I'm envisioning Rotta the Huttlet returning to the fold, now older and wiser, teaming up with WAC in a "buddy pic" as they exact revenge on Count Dooku for the B.S. he was responsible for putting Rotta through back in the Clone Wars movie.
Filoni said R2 will make his greatest contribution to the war here and the news reel said the mission the droids had something to do with foiling a big upcoming Separatist attack. This may tie into the Temple attack or into a future attack on Coruscant with the Nexus Route stuff from the Citadel arc. Season 5 has a good track record with braiding plot threads so far.
no... just no.... just please no
WAC as a big bad...
OMG, WAC turns out to be a traitor. Calling it now!
Or mr snail
that would be a twist
Hmmm... or Gascon...
Maybe Wac is rotta in Disguise
Both sound interesting as traitors BUT Gascon turning from jerk to villain sounds much like a droid version of Umbara and that would be not be good.
WAC could turn out to be reprogrammed against his will and must be stopped. That would be better.
and then they reveal that the real big bad is......... M5-BZ
I got a stomach ache watching this.
Nothing says "Star Wars" like slapstick and overdone cartoon tropes.
I've given up giving these four part Arcs a chance by the time that we got to watch the Onderon all finals grenade bowling competition.
That moment striked me as something out of a Looney Tunes or Disney short. It was a pretty funny little gag.
I guess the traitor thing is overdone. WAC is dangerous enough as he is. No reprograming required.
Does look like Wile E. Coyote when he runs off a cliff. Its really difficult not to compare the episode a Looney Tune as a whole.
Yes he is and you are right.
The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions... WAC could mean good but he could be the death of all of his friends.
Don't look down!
He needs a 'Help me!' sign.
Bored. Made this. Even more bored.
I will reiterate my longing for the upcoming Darth Maul arc
