Rex wasn't even in this episode, minus a holo and in the background. o__o
I think you are being to generous towards the last one.
That is the power of Rex these days - he can be in for a second or two but he can still come off as prideful and cocky.
It would have been nice if this king Rash was named Vaklu as a descendant of this vile villain.
I thought Lux was the TCW version of Justin Bieber.
Justin Bieber is the real world version of Lux!
It looks Vaklu's face was imported on to the head
+Opening was good
+The king was well-done
-The confrontation scene was odd for me
-"Could't have done it better myself"'s odd placement
-"Freedom for Onderon" was a little cheeky/cheesy
7/10, weaker than the opening definitely. Good, but overall a bit weak, seemed to lack a definitively or structure around it
Onderonian Navy? Is there an Ocean on Onderon? Do they mean a space navy?
I SMELL SPACE MARINES.
You are the 3rd person who tells me that when I show him the general from KOTOR 2.
I don't know I think Bieber would be better at fighting then that plus he can motivate and recruit followers.
Remember, this episode is before the season opener.
Well, padme married anakin didn't she, and what was Han and leia's age difference? Maybe their galaxy has different ideals than ours.
Personally i loved this episode, the battles couldn't be better, and the story was great. I also can't wait to see what happens with Lux and Asoka
The only big problem I have with the episode is how easy it was to get in and destroy the power generator that supplied the WHOLE city's power. Bit the same thing kinda happend in TPM went anakin flew the naboo fighter. And i hardly complained about that.
Besides, it is a galaxy far far away!
Overall, I give it an 8/10
Super awesome animation but gosh...a handful of Rebels take out whole squads of droids then two people destroy at least 6 commando droids!? If only Anakin was there he could've said "all too easy" .
I propose a new drinking game....every time a character states something that was stated no more than four sentences before hand, drink.
"Destroyers! We have to take them out!!!"
two edits later- "If we don't get those destroyers we're all done for!"
"Let's hope the send a tank!"
"Theres our tank!!"
I gave the first part an 8 but Front Runners is a 5.
Well, I liked the episode, but strangely I don't have the much to say about it. It was...ok. Something I'll happily watch again as I come back to revisit the arc in the future. The story moved along a bit. Didn't accomplish too much. I guess I'm kind of hoping they build up to something in the next episode or the episode after (if it's 4 parts). The relationship between Lux and Ahsoka and Steela does continue to hold my interest, but again, I'll take a character development story over an action story most every time.
Kind of liked when they were all set to blast the power station and the canon suddenly had to recharge. Murphy's law anyone?
That was really all I had to say. Like all the little touches I'm noticing in the animation. Looking forward to next week.
Buddy, no offense but you say every episode will be great and when you see it you say it was.
A War on Two Fronts presumption:
A War on Two Fronts declaration:
Front Runners presumption:
Front Runners declaration:
I think we can agree this episode was lack lustre but Maul is not the answer!
Did you see A War on Two Fronts?!
It was...good. Honestly, I used to be happy about the series new-found "4-part arcs" but now I think they should reserve that for the stories that need them. I think this narrative could be more engaging and entertaining in a three part trilogy.
For the first time I don't have any specific thoughts on an episode. For me it was so forgettable from start to finish.
-I really didn't care for how both the Rebels and the Onderon people were depicted as either immature or mindless.
-Another bland corrupted arrogant leader antagonist.
-The only thing that stood out as interesting to me about the episode was King Rash's Aide:
Dr.Boll's species, given a Fu Manchu beard, wearing an SS-esque uniform. Now that's visually memorable.
Hopefully the next episode will be the arc's spectacular finale and we can move on to more interesting scenarios the week after.
^I think it's a four-part arc.. Like Umbara, it feels like it's going to drag when it could probably just settle for two episodes.
Darn. Well, hopefully the arc will pick up from here on an action level at least, as I don't see much room for character development with any of the new characters, unfortunately.
You know, it would be interesting if instead of a vanilla, cliche rebellion against the oppressors, we actually meet people who support the occupation.
-What about the people angry at them for cutting power to the city?
-What happens if the rebels have to start fighting flesh and blood Iziz soldiers?
-What if that droid general turns PR against them somehow?
Something I forgot to mention earlier, but isn't it a bit telling how about this episode's reception how it's Sunday and this thread only has five pages (at least with my setting) so far as compared to usually 10-12 pages?
You mean Saturday?
I was working today, guess that's why I got that confused.
Still, usually when I finished watching the episode on Saturday evening (European Time) I usually find myself getting to post my thoughts around page 10.
Pretty meh to be honest.
Besides the introduction of the new droid, nothing to really see here. I really hope this new droid is as cool as he looks.
A forgettable episode, which is unfortunate because the setup episode was pretty decent. The bright spot is that it can (hopefully) only get better from here.
I just thought of a crazy theory. What if......the whole Ahsoka has feelings for Lux thing is one big red herring. What if the person that Ahsoka has feelings for is ACTUALLY Steela.
Think about it, the red herring is that the show wants us the viewers, to think that when Lux and Steela get close, Ahsoka is annoyed/jealous that Steela is close to Lux because she has feelings for him , but what if its the other way around, what if Ahsoka is jealous/annoyed that Lux is getting close to Steela because she has feelings for her.
Perhaps Ahsoka for some reason, has feelings for Steela and Lex and therefore is pissed when they both are together.
Then again, i highly doubt they would make Ahsoka lesbian or bisexual.
