The Clone Wars Figures

Could anyone post a picture of Sith Witch Concept art? I checked Google but couldn't come up with any pictures of concept art, well I did, but I didn't feel like looking through 20 pages....

 

From the sound of it, Sith Witch would go against GL's rule of two. Of course, this figure hasn't been officially confirmed yet. Anyhow, I really don't think that these figures are necessary. I wasn't much of a fan of the Shadows of the Empire or Expanded Universe figures, so I could live without them.

It's true that a good number of us were around during the dark years that were void of a new Star Wars movie. But not all of us took up solace in the Expanded Universe to ease our cravings. Myself, I just kept watching the original movies, even though I would sit there and quote each line. So I think the EU is entirely an acquired taste. Although it did produce characters like Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn, and a few others that escape my sleep deprived mind right now.

As I mentioned, you can see that artwork in the book The Art of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. All you should have to do is go to a bookstore, grab a copy off of the shelf, and look inside.

 

The art of Episode 2 has some designs for a sith witch too.

When Lucas said he was getting Lee for the role, the witch idea's were used to make a Jedi character called 'Luminara Unduli'.

If the art team would have had their way,she is what your Episode 2 sith witch would have been.

Also the Jedi 'Kit Fisto' was originally one of the male Sith idea's !!!

Yeah, I never knew about the Luminaria thing.

 

Yeah,it's true, Luminara Unduli is the bald headed sith witch design made into a jedi.

The only think different they give her to be a Jedi was the head piece.

As for Kit Fisto,the book says:

" Jedi Knight Kit Fisto was originally concieved by Power (the concept Artist) as a male Sith.The same costume concept he'd developed for the bald headed female Sith, with baggy lower garments to impart a sense of solidity, hadn't quite worked here, in Power's opinion.Thus, he was happy when Lucas asked if he could mold the character into a Jedi".

The concept illustration next to this shows Kit Fisto with white skin,in Luminara Unduli's jedi clothes !!!

We really don't know which sith witch is being made.

That looks awful. How are they going to have a sith witch anyway? Shouldn't she just be a dark sider or something not a sith. Sigh.

 

Ret, keep in mind the leaked list that shows a listing for a "Sith Witch" figure is an internal Hasbro document.

Given that she's based on concept art that is clearly labeled "Sith Witch" that's not very surprising.

I doubt she'll be referenced as a Sith Witch in the comics (instead probably just a fallen jedi or some such)...and therefore the toy itself won't be labeled with that name either.

 

Well yes she wouldn't be called a sith in the comics. Good point.

 

I just hope the rumor of a Mandalorian bounty hunter/supercommando figure is true,becuase that would be awesome. Especially if it looks like the original concept drawings for Boba Fett.

 

A mandalorian would have to be from the Jango Fett series not any clone wars related books.

Just curious, but there are other Clone Wars figures besides the rumored Sith Witch coming out right?

It just seems that that's all people are interested in.

 

Yes, there's also Yoda, Mace, Obi-Wan, Kit, clone trooper and I even heard JANGO at one point!!!!

I'm sure there are others I just can't remember.

They have a Clone Wars Jango, the Final Battle version that comes with removeable head. Of course, they could have changed it in the Expanded Universe and say that he actually survived, kinda like they did with Boba Fett after he fell into the Sarlac pit.
