Full Series The Clone Wars NEW ICON Thread (we need ideas for new icons!)

Our poking at the administration to get some new TCW (and Lit/EU) icons is finally paying dividends!

We're going to get around 10-20 new The Clone Wars icons in the next few weeks.

Obviously right now, we have hardly any TCW icons, and the ones we do have are old and not very exciting, considering how much more material is available right now.

We want YOU to tell us what icons you want! Keep in mind we're only going to be able to upload between 10-20 right now, so we'll take the best or most popular answers and forward them on to the tech admins.

Please let us know in the next week because I'd like to get moving on this.

I can tell what we don't have right now:

- no Dooku icons, ditto Grievous and Ventress (well, 1 crappy Ventress icon)
- we have 1 Rex icon, 2 Yoda icons, 7 Kenobi headshots, 1 Kit Fisto, 7 Anakin headshots, 4 Ahsoka headshots. And that's it.

What we definitely need (my suggestions)

- at least one good Dooku, Ventress and Grievous
- at least one good Luminara Unduli, Plo Koon, and Aayla Secura, and that calamari Jedi
- Y-Wings would be cool
- The Twilight (definitely)
- at least one good Padme, Jar-Jar, Threepio, and Artoo
- possibly one of the assassin droids
- possibly Hondo

An icon of Fives and/or his blue handprint symbol would be a good idea. The Malevolence, Skytop Station, Grievous's castle, Goldie, Aayla and the pacifists would also be good ideas.

Anything else?

I agree on all of the above and would like to add Nute Gunray, he really deserves one ^^ Possibly Dr. Droid?

 

How about a shot of Greivous from the web-comic? I know it's a point of debate, but a couple of the shots I though looked pretty cool... Something like this:

I know there is at least one good picture of Cad Bane about. I'd love another Duros icon.

I second Dr. Droid from 'Lair of Grievous' as well as Hondo, the Tactical Droid, Ziro the Hutt, General Loathsom and Nadharr Vebb.

 

We need a Tee Watt Kaa icon!

I want the first page of the Grievous webcomic made into an icon. He's very cute in this picture! There's only one icon of Qymaen so far, from Visionaries. There's Grievous fangirls out there who would like a less hostile version for personal use, ahem.

I would also like one of the Weequay pirates, although that may not happen. The TCW portrayal of them is very different from other EU sources.

 

Maybe one more Obi-Wan, and Jar Jar Binks please!

In any case, I'd like to add that we need an icon of Bly without his helmet.

 

Agreed about Jar Jar. I'd be interested in Cad Bane and Aayla too! Maybe even Vebb!

 

I cast my vote for Gunray. Not like he's not an icon of sorts already.

 

Vebb, Grevious, Dooku, Plo Koon, and some Clone Troops (with colors preferably) because I like their look better in the show than in the movies.

For instance, Dooku vs. Anakin, Obi vs. Ventress.

Hey guys, I'm Nat, the icons manager. I'm really excited to see everyone's ideas about some new Clone Wars icons. Since it's one of the only sources of new material, I think it's important to get a bunch of new icons from it.

For those of you who can make icons rather than just suggest photos/ideas, please remember that they need to be 50x50, 90x30, or 30x90. And we have a bunch of people in the icons thread who can help make them as well. Let me know if you have any questions here, there or by PM, and I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Get us one for Captain Argyus with the helmet on. Also, if we could get one of the Malevolence with the bow and its ion cannon, that'd be great too....heck, let's have some Venators and military Consulars as well.

Speaking of icons, why doesn't this forum let us upload our own?

 

How about one of Plo Koon with his hand outstretched as he Force pushes the pod hunter away from the Shadow of Malevolence episode? Then again, any good Plo shot is fine. That way I won't have to freak out Pablo Hidalgo with that picture of him and Plo. XD

I just threw together a couple icons from what some people asked for and I had access and time to play with. Some of them are crap, but oh well.

Some of these are actually just fine; a few of them I think were too "dark" or something, I had a difficult time seeing them.
