The Force is back and better than ever -- in Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Two, coming to DVD and high-definition Blu-ray Disc October 26 from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Warner Home Video. Featuring cutting-edge animation and a host of special bonus materials, the comprehensive collection explores the farthest reaches of "a galaxy far, far away" with all-new adventures set against the spectacular backdrop of the Star Wars universe.

Relive all 22 Season Two episodes -- featuring bounty hunters, space pirates, giant monsters, mind-controlling brain worms and the return of Boba Fett! -- and then dig deeper with the ultimate look behind the scenes of the hit TV series. Bonus features include a look inside the Lucasfilm vaults, with featurette interviews along with Director and Artist commentaries on each disc. In addition, The Complete Season Two will include a 64-page production journal with concept designs, original sketches and notes from Supervising Director Dave Filoni. And exclusive to the Blu-ray disc, The Jedi Temple Archives provides in-depth access to an extensive database of creative materials.

"Everything's improved since the first season -- the stories, the animation, everything," said Filoni. "It's bigger and better, and it's going to look great in high-definition. We're all just so proud of the series, and I think it shows; we're bursting to share our production secrets, so the features are just full of fun insights from behind the scenes. As a fan, this is what I'd want."

Created and executive produced by George Lucas, the first-ever TV production from Lucasfilm Animation explores the tumultuous time between Episodes II and III, expanding the scope of Star Wars beyond anything seen in the feature films. With the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance, the heroes of the Republic -- including the valiant Jedi Knights and their loyal clone troopers -- fight bravely to repel the attacks of the evil Separatists and their droid army. With fierce battles, expanded storylines and ground-breaking animation, this is a Star Wars adventure that is bigger, bolder, and more intense than ever before!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Two will be available October 26 for the suggested retail price of $44.98 for DVD and $59.99 for Blu-ray.

    Special Features:
Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Two is presented in widescreen with English, Spanish and French 5.1 DTS audio and English, French and Spanish subtitles. Bonus features include:

    * Behind-The-Scenes Featurettes on each disc
o Attack of the Zillo Beast
    o Magic of the Holocron
    o Return to Geonosis
    o Creating Mandalore

    * 64-page production journal that includes early sketches, artist notes and concept art from Season Two of Star Wars: The Clone Wars

    * Blu-ray Exclusive -- The Jedi Temple Archives
o An extensive database exploring special effects footage, early concept art, 3-D character and object turnarounds and early animation. The Archives is a rare look at the assets in various stages of creation for The Clone Wars, with a wealth of surprises and never-before seen moments sprinkled throughout

I have to say, I hate that cover. Yoda? Really? He wasnt't more than a speck on the Zillo Beast's back in this season. This is the Rise of the Bounty Hunters, it should have been either Cad Bane or Pre Vizsla on the cover.

No, thank God it's not. It's "The Complete Season 2" :)

But yes, It should be at least a clone on the cover. Or a bounty hunter.

EDIT: By the way, no behind-the-scenes featurette for each episode? No director's cut episodes?

I really think most of the directors cuts from the first season were the results of their initial expectation of having a full 30 minutes to work with.

Either way, this is for me another Blu-Ray purchase for my collection. I don't buy many things in physical media, but the seasons of the Clone Wars will definitely be keepers. Now I just need to save up my RewardZone Points so it only costs me $25 like last year.

I don't think so. We know that "Lethal Trackdown" had additional 40 seconds of footage.

I too hate the cover. I was hoping they keep the theme of clone trooper characters as this is well...The Clone Wars. I do like how they are keeping repetition with the digi-books and the same type of backgrounds but Yoda really? He unfortunately did absolutely nothing this season. I would of been fine with Pre Visla, Bane, Rex or Obi-Wan. Not to mention Yoda is one of my least favorite models from the show.

I do hope we get commentary on each episode, I'm sure its there and they just didn't mention it. Without a doubt a first day purchase blu-ray wise for me though.

That cover is a weird choice. It's like they got the covers for season one and two mixed up.

I do have to admit it would've been cooler to have like Cad Bane or Anakin or somebody who had a bit more screen time than Yoda. Still, it won't keep me from buying it.

$59.99? LOL. I can't believe people are actually going to pay that. Forget that man, no way. Prices on Blu-Ray movies are completely ridiculous. I am waiting a few years before I purchase many. I buy them used for half the price.

Cover is ridiculous, but it will be nice to watch these in Blu-Ray. And at least this time it's out BEFORE the start of Season 3.

Well, we don't know when will the 3rd season start. But this release will be at the same time as the TFUII release.

*sigh* I hate people who say this.

That's just the SRP. Most places like Amazon, Target and even Best Buy will probably have it on sale for $39.99 or even less the first week it's out.

I usually save my coupons for this too if I get any of them during late summer or early Fall. I paid like $13 out of my pocket for Season 1 on blu-ray the first day it came out.

Oh I thought they said that S3 wasn't starting until November for some reason.

When did S2 start? If they release it after the start of S3, urge to kill rising...

That's exactly why I'm saving up my RewardZone Points from Best Buy for this. I rack up enough of them in the normal course of my life anyway, so it works out fine for me. The only thing that will tick me off is if they screw up the release day like they did the first time, when no store had any.

Huh, the cover is a pretty weird choice. But it might be one of the "content subject to change" covers. Wasn't there one like that for S1 released a few weeks before the real cover was?

It's odd that there are no director's cut episodes, but it doesn't bug me at all. It was pretty much just added battle droid humor. [face_frustrated]

Anyway, I'm really going to have to save money now, since I need to get TFU2, also.

No. The Cody cover was the final release cover.

Will you get both on October, 26?

So, will this be released at the same time in Canada? Or do we have to wait six months before they consider we might actually want to watch all the bloody episodes?

Anyways, I'm looking forward to their commentary on how they went around building Mandalore.

I am quite aware that it is the SRP. However, $39.99 is still too much. I would not pay more than 20.

Meh, I already bought all the season two episodes on iTunes for around $40. I don't think paying again for the same episodes will be worth it.

Before they officially announced the S1 set, there was a false icture of the cover going around. That cover was probably a placeholder for the current Cody one, so maybe this will be the same.

Hey maybe if we get enough people to protest, they'll change it to something more appropriate, like Ponds, or Fives.

How is Fives a more appropriate S2 cover? He wasn't even in the season.

Better choices would probably be: a Mandalorian, Obi-Wan, Grievous, or Cad Bane.

Honestly, I think the cover is pretty lazy. Anyone could photoshop a Yoda picture in a silver background, especially one in a pose that was already made. I was hoping we would get a new image of a bounty hunter.
