Good idea. Here's the story setups we have so far:

Volume 1: The Defense of Kamino

    Republic #49

With the Battle of Geonosis, the galaxy is officially plunged into war. As the Jedi Council struggles with their new role as leaders of the Republic's clone army, other Jedi operatives have taken on the job of intelligence gathering. On a vast space station known as "The Wheel," Jedi knight Aayla Secura is searching for a notorious gun-runner who can help her intercept the Separatist's latest secret plans. But spying is a dirty business, and operatives are often more expendable than the information they possess. Is this what being a Jedi has come to? With this issue, Star Wars: Republic jumps into the as yet unrevealed events in the time period between Episode II and Episode III -- the Clone Wars! If you're wondering what happens next after Attack of the Clones, this is where you find the answers!

    Republic #50

Two months after the Battle of Geonosis...w ith the forces of the Republic and the armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems stalled in a series of indecisive battles, the Separatists risk a devastating strike at the heart of the Republic's war machine: they attack the cloning facility on Kamino! Their hope is to permanently destroy the Republic's ability to create new clones for its army. The Republic's defense rests on a squadron of Jedi Starfighters and a battalion of Jedi-led clone troopers within the facility itself. It's a battle fought on three fronts -- in space, on the ground, and underwater! A massive 64-page battle epic!

    Jedi: Mace Windu

As the Jedi's top general in the galaxy-wide Clone Wars, Mace Windu must oversee battles on many fronts. But the struggle that concerns him most is that within the Jedi Order itself. With the outbreak of hostilities, many Jedi are unwilling to commit themselves to the war -- either because of their ambivalence toward the Republic, or because they have actively joined the Separatists! On a quest to reunite the divided ranks of the Jedi, Mace Windu is forced to confront the same Jedi sword-master who tutored him in the legendary lightsaber regimen known as Vaapad!

    Volume 2: Heroes and Scapegoats

    Republic #51

On one of the moons of Naboo, General Obi-Wan Kenobi and his troops make a horrifying discovery: the entire population of Gungan settlers has been wiped out in a genocidal chemical attack by a power-mad Separatist commander. Worse, Anakin discovers that the commander's next target is Naboo itself, the home of his beloved Padmé! Hopelessly out-numbered by Separatist forces, the soldiers of the Republic have but one hope for success -- but that hope seems shattered when General Kenobi is captured in battle! New worlds, new villains, and new heroes, as the epic saga of the Clone Wars unfolds!

    Republic #52

A Gungan settlement has been massacred, General Kenobi has been captured, and the Separatist's are planning to wipe out Naboo with a biological weapon! Only Anakin Skywalker and Alpha, a clone trooper specialist, can save the day--but that's only if they can get past Durge, Count Dooku's hired assassin who has a centuries-old grudge against the Jedi, and Commander Asajj Ventress, a mysterious Jedi with a dark past!

    Republic #53

An all-Jedi strike force is assembled for a secret mission to infiltrate a Skakoan Techno Union base that is supporting the Separatists. Among those selected for the mission is Obi-Wan Kenobi, who finds himself teamed with several legendary Jedi Masters. Surrounded by so many powerful individuals, Obi-Wan feels there is little he can bring to the mission. But when the base turns out to be a trap designed to kill Jedi, Obi-Wan finds himself in a leadership position, fighting for the survival of the team! Jedi powers, Jedi sacrifices, and another surprising confrontation!

    Jedi: Shaak Ti

Among the Jedi, Master Shaak Ti is known as a peacemaker; the calm voice of reason. But caught on the ground on war-torn Brentaal IV with a rapidly dwindling platoon of clone troopers, Shaak Ti is forced

As further elaboration, for cross-referencing purposes, the titles of each individual Republic issue:

    #49: Sacrifice
    #50: The Defense of Kamino
#51: The New Face of War, part 1
#52: The New Face of War, part 2 (presumably)
    #53: Blast Radius
    #54: Codes

The cover for Republic #51 is on the Dark Horse website, and it says something like "Graveyard Moon" on it, so I thought that was the title of the new one.

No, the titles are on the insides of the covers.

It seems that DH likes the keep the titles secret. We didn't know the title of #51 until today (when it came out). Same goes for #50. Why? ?[face_plain]

"Graveyard Moon" is just the cover's "catch phrase". The inside cover has "The New Face of War, part 1".

I noticed that The New Face of War was listed on the timeline in the Mace Windu special earlier, and I sort of guessed that this two-parted was in fact it, despite the cover blurb.

You refer to Jedi: Mace Windu? If so, where? I don't see it mentioned anywhere,

I do not purchase individual comics per se, rather, I prefer to collect each series in a trade paperback. Thus, this thread is a great idea, for me personally anyway, as it will help people know what each TPB contains, and when they are released.

I don't have many graphic novels (3), but I too prefer to collect them in TPB form, because they are a lot less succeptible to damage than in single issue form. Besides, I live in England, which means if there is a bright center to the world I'm on the island that's furthest from, when it comes to SW collecting.

I agree with you A-Wings rule, living in the UK sucks for any Star Wars comic fan, I have most of the TPBs, nearly, 50 in total and whilst they aren't essential in the reading of the EU, I find them fantastic, the X wing ones especially.

If I'd had known that the TPB were coming out so soon after the inital comic I wouldn't of bothered buying the comics :(

Now the real question for me is since I thought the Clone War stuff started in #50 do I search back bins for #49 or do I buy the TPB? Decisions Decisions.

Might be coming out this week, if DH is to be believed, though I don't see it on Diamond's shipping list.
