My kids were excited this past weekend as they announced that the Clone Wars TV series starts on Friday October 3rd on the Cartoon Network. I cant wait myself for the series.

I still haven't been able to get to see the movie yet. :(

Maybe this coming week now that things have calmed down on my end.

Can't wait for the series though.

Any ideas on how many episodes total they will do?

How many episodes in a season?

supposedly there are going to be at least 100 episodes to start for this series and for the live action. not sure how many episodes per season there will be hopefully 10 or more with seasons running through the year and not like regular tv shows.

Better hurry up. I doubt it will be around much longer. Then again, the DVD will probably be out by the time the series starts.

I just saw the trailer for the first time tonight. Can't wait for October 3rd! I love that they're really bridging the gap between trilogies (even though it takes place between ep2 and 3). Y-wing fighters and the IG-88 droids! The geek in me is couldn't be happier.

I think if Ahsoka dies a horrible and painful death it won't be a moment too soon.

My Son thinks that Ahsoka is one of the Jedi's that is killed in Episode III...

In the books, I believe she does but the series isn't following the books which is maddening to me.

I agree with you though, Ahsoka is a nuissance. Then again, so is Padme but, in ROTS it's mentioned that Anakin had been away for a year or more... the assumption there was that Padme hadn't seen him (kind of makes you think about the pregnancy) yet here she is in the Clone Wars series...

Ah well, either way, it's Star Wars and it's new so... it's great to watch!

Can't wait for the live action series next year. :)

I've heard a couple of thoughts/rumors that Ahsoka is being introduced in the animated series so she can appear as a 'known character' in the live action series.

    Overall, I like it.

That being said, I really dislike the fact that Anakin has a Padawan learner. That makes him a Master, for gods sake! "When I left you I was but a learner now I am the Master." Oh, but, wait, he WAS a master before he wasn't a master. It's almost as bad a plot complication as the "Star Trek: Enterprise" folks encountering Borg. That series lost me after that and many others. This series has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel as far as I'm concerned.
