I find it interesting that before what we call the Industrial Age or the age of technology, that instead of alien sightings and abuctions etc., people used to call them demons. In our “heightened enlightenment” people now call these experiences alien life from a different planet. People would much rather attribute things to aliens, then demons nowadays because, well, belief in demons and other super natural entities is considered ignorant and childish in today’s world.
Good evening cantina. Are we still discussing aliens?
The Richard Gere film The Mothman Prophecies freaked me out. Apparently a red eyed angel/demon would appear before natural disasters. Supposedly based on a true story. Angel of death? Not sure if I believe it but in the Bible when angels appear they always said "fear not", implying that their appearance was probably something that inspired fear.
Does anyone here like Root Beer?
Everyone likes root beer. Aliens, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster and the chupacapra all like root beer too.
I think we've discussed this but there was a show in the late 70's early 80s called "In Search Of" hosted by Leonard Nimoy that dealt with a lot of that stuff. Mysteries, myths, etc.
I remember that show. Loved it when I was nieve.
I remember the Bermuda Triangle show. I was fascinated with that as a kid. And the killer bees scare of the late 70's.
Yes! I remember being scared to death of killer bees!
They were supposed to be in Mexico and movin up to Texas to lay waist to America
My teacher told us about that (the bees) and scared the honey out of us. Like we wouldn't even be able to go outside in 5 years because there'd be bees everywhere.
Yep same here!
I think the bees heard disco and flew the other way.
I hope the killer bees are out tomorrow:
As a Bengal fan thank you. Thank you very much. On to Nightmare on Elm St. 2, which has always been my 2nd favorite in the series.
Now that’s what I call a segway
Bee’s are scary, but also it’s a shame they die when they sting you
No it’s not.
I haven't seen that movie yet.
Incidentally, The Craft is on television right now.
Never made the connection that Fairuza Balk also played Dorothy in Return To Oz.
My Uncle took me to see that when I was very little and it kinda freaked me out. There were all these heads in glass jars.
Might have to watch that again someday.
Return to Oz is great! I just watched Tin Man, which I really enjoyed.
