Every team that could leave the Big 12 has. OU is chained to OSU by legislature and I believe by Board of Regents. They fled.

Charlie Strong introduced as head coach at Texas. He's first and foremost a great coach, in my eyes, but I can imagine that it is a special day for many African-Americans in that state to see him take over the program, and one of the 2-3 biggest jobs in the country. Reminds me a bit of when Sylvester Croom took over at Mississippi State- slowly but surely, the old standards of what is acceptable in southern football are washing away- standards seen as recently as 2008, when Auburn passed over Turner Gill.

Could not happen to a better guy, either- Strong coached at South Carolina while I lived in Columbia, and the players loved him.

If Strong "fails" at Texas, it won't be because of Xs and Os, team management or even recruiting, it'll be because of the relentless scrutiny, spotlight and outside pressures. My hunch tells me he'll excel regardless of all of that, though.

Good luck to anyone who has a dog in this fight! I guess I'd rather see FSU win since Auburn won a few years ago, but if Auburn wins the SEC wins which I'm apparently supposed to cheer for now. Really I'm just hoping for a good game to watch!

I'd rather Auburn win, for the conference, but I'd be fine either way. Jimbo Fisher is a Saban guy, and a great coach.
