I'm excited for this game and I hope your prediction comes true! I was surprised they were favored in the Pick 'em thing, but I'm hoping they win!

Wow Pitt sucks so bad. I wonder if they even bother planning for their opponents.

At least there's not "High Octane" hype to go along with it.

Apparently the betting line for the Florida St.-Savannah St. game on Saturday is at 70 1/2.

No surprises there, but at the same time that's just plain sad.

Well, Braxton Miller apparently got the memo that today is a game day. Not sure about the rest of the team. One of my personal favorites, Zach Boren, is having a particularly tough game.

Here's hoping the second half is better.

From Twitter - Penn State's true freshman backup QB > Tino [Sunseri, Pitt's senior QB]

Probably true. Penn State's offense is not very good, though. I missed it, but apparently McGloin (Penn State's starter) got injured.

[face_party] Oregon State wins over Wisconsin 10-7. Had to sweat it out those last few minutes, but they somehow pulled it out.

I'm watching the UCLA Nebraska game (watched bit more than first quarter, had to head out, and got back a few minutes ago. This is a UCLA I have not seen play. Very exciting.

And they win. Monroe also beat Arkansas.

In sadder news, a Tulane safety broke his neck today.

Did anyone watch the Monroe-Arkansas game? I just got to where I'm staying on vacation and saw the score. Please tell me Monroe students changed SEC-SEC-SEC at the end of the game. Please please please.

So, there were 4 teams that were not ranked, but beat ranked teams. One was LA Monroe, the other three were PAC-12 teams, with UCLA beating Nebraska, Oregon State beating Wisconsin, and Arizona beating Oklahoma State. This pleases me.

    LOL @ Arkansas indeed.

Also, when I saw the 70.5 point spread for FSU-Savannah State, I had to take Savannah State to cover.. and then I glanced at the score early in the second and saw it was already 35-0, which promptly turned into 42-0 and the backups were clearly already in. Good thing for Savannah State that the game only lasted 2 and a half quarters, with the last half of the second quarter plus what they did play of the third with a running clock.

And in good news for South Carolina fans, we actually have a backup QB. No Connor Shaw, no problem... at least against ECU's pitiful pass defense. 330 yards, 3 TDs, and generally looked quite solid. Shaw's still the starter, make no mistake (TV announcers, I'm looking at you), but at least we know we have a decent backup if he gets hurt later. At this point, though, I want to see Dylan Thompson start again against UAB next week, just to make sure Shaw is healthy going into the SEC schedule.

Hm, good Pitt seems to be showing up right now against the Hokies, but only after bad Pitt was around the last two weeks.

And UL-Monroe is tied with Auburn at 14 at the half. Do the Warhawks have it in them to win against another SEC team?

They're brimming with confidence, and Auburn isn't nearly as good as Arkansas. Or at least Arkansas with Tyler Wilson, who's far and away the best player on that team.
