The Comic Book Character Draft Episode VIII: The Secret Draft *congrats, Loyal!!*

Deep in the outer most reaches of space and time, an immensely powerful race of beings known as the GMs gathered to compete against each other to determine who among them was the greatest. To do this, they would each assemble a team of the mightiest heroes and most vile villains in the known multiverse, and pit them against each other in deadly combat! The heroes, powerless to defy the almighty GMs, were given whatever motivation they needed to fight. For some, it would be the destruction of their homes, for others, the promise of power and riches. And so, unable to resist and with the fate of their respective worlds on their shoulders, they fought. These are those fights.

This is the eighth installment of the Comic Book Character Draft!

I am your host, EmpireForever, and you are those GMs. You will choose your champions. You will compete for the most elusive prize in all of the known universes. To be crowned ultimate champion of the mighty GMs!

The winner of the last draft was: MandaloreYak! As a reward, the Yak got three days of colors and a title, as well as handshakes all around. And probably there was a toast. I don't remember. The winner this time can expect the same, as well as enshrinement into the CBD HoF. Those most amazing and wonderful of GMs.

Now, some of you are familiar with these drafts games, and some of you may not be, having newly become a GM. Regardless, these games are fun to play, read, watch, judge, you name it! Let's take a look at how such a thing as a draft is played:

If you're new to this type of game, don't be put off by the length of this post explaining all the rules. It's as long as it is because I want to make sure that everything is clear to everyone before we get started. It's really not all that complicated when you break it all down. If you think you might be interested, go ahead and sign up, then come back and read up on the rules and procedures. Then, if you think it's all too much for you, (which I don't think it should be for anyone) you can always just say that you're not up to it and vacate your spot.

Maybe some PM's to past players would be in order? Zizz...Drac39...Inty...Chim...-Ace-...MarcusP2...Eagle.

If we are having troubles filling 16 Gm spots, maybe even a reduction to 12 GMs? I know that line of thinking is very early, but usually we fill up GM spots way faster than this.

I'm going to sit this one out. Although I do think I might start actually reading a few comics. I finally read Watchmen and loved it, so I think I might check some more Moore stuff. Maybe start with that Batman comic he did. If anybody wants to throw some recommendations my way - preferably good starting points where I wouldn't really need any prior knowledge of other ongoing storylines - that would be very helpful.

This should be one of the most interesting drafts, with this new mix of GMs. Hopefully it fills up soon. And Plastic Man goes undrafted.
