Yeah, good review. That issue was all pretty lame writing--except that guy actually says superman is stronger than that at one point, so he obviously wasnt disputing that superman could bench that number for that long, just everything else.

 

So are we on to the next number or were heels' comments not an official vote?

well, i'd say if someone can do something for five days with barely breaking a sweat, they're obviously stronger than that. just kinda goes without saying i suppose?

Ok then.

Have to say I find Loki vs. Fate to be the most interesting. I lean Loki in that match.

Superman Vs. Thor. Really it's whether Thor's hammer affects Superman. And the answer is, Superman does have a weakness to magic. And as someone else mentioned, Thor can still uses magic without the hammer. In particular, I'm referring to his ability to summon lightning. On the flip side, can Thor survive heat vision and blows from Superman? Given the beings Thor has fought and the blows he's taken, I would wager yes.

Hourman (prepared) vs Nova. More interesting. I'm still not quite sure of Hourman's limits here. The Nova force is pretty powerful and Worldmind is a supercomputer. But it really doesn't matter much this round.

 

i find that funny as well. i also find it odd that superman is generally considered to be better in pretty much any vs threads i've seen. or just in general. *shrugs* whatevs, don't envy the judges having to decide on either of those.

oh, this one would be a lot more straight forward for hourman considering rich is human. he can be deaged.

 

I lean Fate. Granted I don't know a great deal about either, but if there ever was someone who seemed to always be prepped to do really good things, it's Loki. And he pales when he has to face Thor, where I could see Fate doing a good job.

 

See but Loki is all about magic. So it's not something where Fate has a leg up. And unprepared, he's going against a god. A trickster god no less. I just think Loki would be more ruthless personally.

 

Mongul would take them both. That is all.

 

Fate has complete and total access to the god of order, why should another god be a problem?

Loki's astral powers can take down Strange's shield, and he notes that that was just a fraction of his total power.

EDIT: I always do enjoy scans from comics older than anyone actually participating in the draft. Good.... times.

 

Who cares how old it is? There hasn't been a 'crisis' type resetting of Marvel powers.
