Wha? He's basically teleporting. Astrally projecting himself and reconstructing a new body elsewhere. Whatever.

Fine, I guess I'll just settle for addressing the battlefield in more detail in the next draft.

if you leave the field of battle during the battle doesn't that qualify as a ring-out?

Another fight that would last a very long time where day time could become a factor. I don't really see either of them just overpowering FS that fast, and if it last over 12 hours, I believe FS would realize the daytime is weakening the Darkness a little. Since he can easily simulate sunlight, it seems that TD has a glaring weakness. My main thing is I just don't think they could really put up an offense against FS that would really hurt him, nor would they work together well enough to make it happen. Going at it separately, just don't see it. And no, I don't see ST and TD working well at all. And time arguments should be thought about the same as a lantern can't fight for over 24 hours straight...

There is no way that Firestorm would be able to actually kill Swamp Thing, physically he can kill his body time and time again but it would just regenerate instantly. Unless Firestorm has a way of destroying ST's consciousness he won't EVER be able to get a decisive win in that fight.

On the flip side of that, if you bother to do about 30-45 minutes of reading you will see that ST actually has some good offensive options.

In my view he wouldn't even need to leave the battlefield...however we define it. I would presume that the fight starts at the specified location, but is it not allowed to expand from there? If we assume that the location is attached to the planet, then in my view that is more than enough for ST to work with. Anything short of FS destroying the entire battlefield wouldn't work, and while sure he could destroy a planet it would be VERY out of character for him to do so.

The more I think about it, and the more I have read up on the ST thread, the more I am convinced that ST has a huge advantage based on his inability to actually die by any means except his conscious being destroyed. Physically damage just doesn't really do anything to him at all.

I'll agree with Kalar on these matches except Rulk.

Rulk does absorb energy... and is really really angry... I don't know, if MG doesn't go to hard TP from jump...

And on ST, I spent a good 2-3 hours on him before the draft, and have often commented about how OP his is... But FS is also pretty beastly. Mainly the intangibility, and being able to pull people onto the astral plane resonate with me here.

I have never seen him absorb anything except cosmic and gama radiation, which is what was used to create him. I have never seen anything that would give me reason to believe that he can absorb any kind of energy thrown at him.

You know what, this argument came up earlier, and I think I even stated what you just said D1. Good point. I was just trying to be more sensitive to not always just going for the telepath as you pointed out in the omni-man match. But you're right, he hasn't absorbed anything except cosmic and gamma. I agree with D1. Which is swapping to MG.

Interesting 3rd match. I guess Allen already won that, since this is essentially a rematch. And I'm guessing Lobo is gonna win that.

Well, if that happens I think ST kicks his behind on the Astral plane. Swamp Thing practically owns that place.
