I am with You Guys on this, it's a bad idea but when you are a global conglomerate, all you care about is how to get the viewers no matter what you throw together. I read that Disney really, really wants to get into the edgier young boys market for entertainment and they have nothing soooooo, instead of developing something new, they are going to just [face_money_eyes]BUY[face_money_eyes] what already works... for 4 Bil. [face_skull]

If they decide the Marvel movies have to go "in the vault" I'm going to be upset. They bought the Muppets, and I haven't seen a Muppet film since. AND, they make crappy direct-to-DVD sequels to their own movies....

I sense "Kingdom Hearts: Ultimate Alliance" on the horizon...

or new costumed character to come out and say hi to the kiddies at Disneyland, just before they enter "It's a Small World". This one will go over particularly well...

Ooooo! Ooooooo! Going to the Comic Store tomorrow!

So I hear there is a NEW SW title out following the Vong Invasion. I realize it's old hat to most of you since you most likely read the novels but I have not and I Es-cited! [face_mischief]

I think Dave told me I have $200 in held books!

    I am soooooooooo behind. [face_shame_on_you]

I got a big stack of comics at Fan Days 3 for like 1/2 off cover price. Cons are a great place for a deal!

And one of the titles I picked up was several issues of Invasion, which looks very cool. I'm all for mature Luke comic action. Well...mature in an older, non-whiny kind of way! Sickos!

Dude! Buddy! seriously JT, ya gotta watch what you say around here! This place is crawling with smart-asses!

OMGoodness! I smoke right thru $135 in comics but MAN! What a trove of visual reading I get to do! I will gorge myself on Spider-Man, Legacy and KOTOR and a NEW one shot from Dark Horse called "Purge" featuring Vader. =P~

JT, Invasion looks great and the covers are extraordinary!

    I am SUCH a fanboy! (or the equivalent of a boy @ 40) [face_mischief]

I miss reading Spidey. I started with ish 248 and stuck with it through almost through the whole Ben Parker clone bit. I think the last issue I read was 400 consecutively. I came back for the Civil War and the Back in Black storylines. It's good reading and artwork again! If only I could afford buying it every week (Amazing was weekly for a while there...is it still?).

I saw only one copy of Purge at Fan Days and the dealer was selling it for $40! Holy cow! Is it rare with a high demand or something? Oy. Glad you were able to find it and hopefully at a reasonable price.

A while back, Mile Hi Comics had a deal where you can buy one TPB and get one free on the Free Comic Book Day, and I picked up Groo. Still hilarious! Ah...Groo. You did err.

Action Comics #1 sells for $1.5 million.

The condition is 8.5, or, for those of us who were around before the numbered grading system, Very Fine+. 70 years old and it's thisclose to Near Mint. =P~

And I'm not even a Superman fan.

Tee hee. Silly Jonathan. There *are* museums dedicated to comic books and comic art! I was just quoting Indy to someone about it this morning: "It belongs in a museum!"

Indeed! Who knew? The Museum of Comic and Comic Book Art.

They have a pretty crappy web site for a museum dedicated to an art form.

Too bad it's all the way in NYC. I would have gone there when I was last in the Big Apple if I knew it existed.

Well, the rise of the American comic book was really in NYC, so where else would it be?

I hear the best one is in Brussels, Belgium, though.

I am sad to see KOTOR the comic end at issue #50. :(

I have throughly enjoyed Zayne's adventures during this run. Strange reading about Malak the Jedi before he falls to The Dark Side and even more weird to see the first appearance of Revan, who you play in the game. so cool!

Anyone read the newest One Shot "Purge" from Dark Horse? They keep putting these out to tell the story of Vader's purging of the remaining Jedi after Order 66. They are great!

Vader is a very bad little Sith Lord in the recent issue. [face_devil]

Anybody reading Darth Vader and the Lost Command? Totally awesome and a great comic for those of us who love the OT era comics.
