Being inspired by Cushing's Admirer 's thread about Sir Peter Cushing, I decided to start my own thread giving respect to my personal favorite actor, Sir Christopher Lee. Sir Christopher's accomplishments include, but are not limited to, being credited in over 280 roles in films, TV shows, and video games on IMDB, publishing 7 heavy metal albums, and being knighted for his contributions to film. He is an inspiration to me!

^:)^ Darkslayer and Sir Christopher Lee, of course.

I love him and had the opportunity to hear him speak at a horror convention (25 years ago...) - he just the did the panel, but it was wonderful.

Duc di Richleau is my favorite good wizard, and I love the evil ones Sir Christopher has brought to life too.

However, I still keep imagining what his Gandalf would have been like.

This is something like the conversation I probably had with my dad during my first introduction to Christopher Lee

It was late one night and I was watching the castle of Fu Manchu, in probably the year 1994.

    Me: who is that?

Dad: that's Christopher Lee, he's in a lot of these horror films

me: oh.... *watches some more* is he Chinese?

    Dad: no, he's English

me: oh...but Bruce Lee is Chinese...and he looks it

    Dad: it's the make up

    me: oh...

This sounds ambiguous. Cushy is usually ambiguous with a Tiger King part as it is. o_O:confused:

I would be interested to see what Dooku was like as a Jedi.
I still like to think he left the Order with good intentions instead of leaving it as a Sith and became corrupted later.

It would have been nice if his character had been redeemed. As much as I like the TCW, I don't like how they did Dooku very much. I prefer to see him as someone who left a corrupt Jedi Order, only to lose his way and become corrupt himself.

So glad there is such thing as fan fiction.

Christopher Lee is one of the things I like about the prequels. I like Dooku's swordmanship too. It's not just brute strength fighting. It has elegance to it and I love his voice. I feel his character had so much unused potential.

No except maybe Dooku because I can tell Lee was trying to show that even Dooku was redeemable.

When I saw the look on his face after Palpatine ordered his death in ROTS, to me it looks as if he could be having a little regret and he accepts his death.

I wish he would have turned and was struck down by Vader instead towards the end as a good man.

I dig Lee a lot in both Clones and Sith, he has a fantastic exit, but my favourite performance of his as Dooku is, oddly, The Clone Wars movie. Why? Because moreso than Clones or Sith, we get to hear Lee play Dooku as a mastermind schemer and get to be the out-and-out lead bad guy for the flick. He plays it close to the vest in Ep. 2 and in Ep. 3 his role is small but Clone Wars is where you get to relish him playing Darth Tyranus.

That's if you're even of that inclination. I shall always prefer him in Clones where is nobility is hinted as is his Jedi heart in RotS. :)

I'd rather see good Dooku than evil Dooku any day.

I want to read a fan fic where he survives the wars and goes into hiding and raises Luke instead of Obi-wan taking him to the Lars. And he is neither Jedi nor Sith, but someone who is better. I tried to look up something like that but haven't found one yet.

I never really saw Dooku as evil. He was just trying to manipulate the Jedi over to his side, trying to save those that he could before Order 66 was initiated.

In response to the fanfic, if you find something along the lines of that, please share it. I'd love to read that.

    Hello all,

There is a scene in the Darth Plagueis novel involving Dooku and Qui-Gon as Jedi which would give a small sample of him as a Jedi. Not sure which chapter it is but IIRC it's towards the end.
