Why did they come up with that stupid plan last year? I really don't get it.

A ridiculous price+taking all the existing link as hostage is no different than trying to drive off 99% of your customers.

 

Huh, so I have a free account and my links seem to be intact...am I jut flying under the radar on this one because the site still says that you have to pay for third party hosting .....

 

They restored all the pics this month and dropped the price by 95%.

Had they tried this approach from the beginning, thing would have been much better.

 

Is there a drawback for using Google Photos as opposed to Photobucket?

 

If you're happy with it, stick with it.

 

I'm happy with it because my photos on my Android phone automatically sync into the Google Photos site when I charge my phone. Not to mention it's unlimited photos hosted for free.

 

Yes but what about the unjust tragedy of Photobucket's decision?!

 

It's been about a decade or so since the last time I loaded anything up to Photobucket; so any news involving that site would normally get ignored by me.
