    Since I'm a complete computer doofus, I may be doing something wrong Rachel. It says it can't save it and I can't click and play it either.

    Wrote and recorded a song today (yeah, long day) that I don't think I'll be able to upload either :( But here are the lyrics. The chorus is from the Edgar Allen Poe poem by the same title:

    Dream Within a Dream

    Chorus:
    You are not wrong who deam,
    that my days have been a dream,
    all that we see or seem,
    is but a dream within a dream.
    If hope has gone away,
    in a night or in a day,
    in a vision or in none,
    is it therefore the less gone?

    V1:
    Woke up one day from my sleep
    to find myself out in the road
    the cars were driven by black sheep
    it was in summer, and it snowed

    (repeat Chorus)

    V2:
    Awakened in a mound of snow
    a castle fell down around me
    I dueled with an ancient foe
    my leg was cut off at the knee

    (musical bridge)

    V3:
    The medic said "We'll be there soon"
    closed my eyes in great relief
    then found myself in a balloon,
    decided to go back to sleep

    The guitar on it is kind of messed up anyway. The distortion's really loud so it recorded weird. Mainly, you can't really hear the lovely bass part I wrote and played! ;)

    I just wrote and recorded a song over the past day or so. Maybe I'll get the guts to show it to the world. It's a really, really personal piece; one of my favorites. :) [face_blush]

    I've been working on a funky disco instrumental that sort of sounds like something you'd hear in either a car commercial or a Pentium commercial. :p

    Unfortunately, I don't have a sample because my boyfriend isn't going to set up his sound equipment until he moves into his own place.

    Wooohoo, hopefully this works. For some reason, the master level on this song isn't very loud, so you'll have to turn your speakers up a bit.

    Dream Within a Dream

    Tell me what you think :)

    Wow, you were right about the distortion, but the chord progressions were still pretty sweet! :) Did you also have vocal distortion, or was that just my computer being strange? If there was a vocal effect, can you tell me what kind of equipment you use to do that? Because I'm dying to find out. :D I've had too many songs recorded with bare vocals, and I'm no American Idol. :p

    Nice Rachel. :) Good for you that you enjoy singing and playing guitar. Stick with it - I wish I had.

    Well the background vocals have some kind of effect on them, and then my vocals (lead) have a bit of a reverb on them. I don't know, maybe I just sound weird? ;)

    Ah, so I wasn't wrong about the effects. :) I just want to know how you generate those effects. Is it through the computer or with some other external piece of equipment?

    Alrighty, here's the song I was talking about the other day.

    "Forever Always" (5.48mb)

    [face_blush]

    It's one of my favorites as of now. :)

    Alright, here's something you all should enjoy. I was bored one Saturday and was coloring in a Barbie coloring book. And this is my page. :D

    James, I liked your song. It was really low though, I had to turn my speaker up all the way...

    Ok, let me get my graphic arts stuff up on my site.

    I hate to be critical, Kas, but Ken lips are way too pink in that picture, he looks a little like a cleaned up Dee Snider, or Christina Aquilara, whichever floats your boat. But I guess, given Ken's lack of anatomy, that we'll let that slide.

    It's from kissin' on Barbie too much.

    But I'm not really sure about Ken's masculinity. I think he may swing the other way, if ya know what I mean.

    Oh, I got you ;) But I'm not sure why having pink lips would make him a cannibal.

    Ok, so I'm too lazy to put these on my site, so I'm just going to post them a few at a time on here ;) Note that these pictures are kind of big sometimes so yeah, cable modems are good ;)

    This is the first one I did. It doesn't have a title, but it's obviously got a LOTR thing going on there ;)
    [image=http://gear.noerf.com/images/Graffiti%20Wall.jpg]

    This one was one of my cubism projects. It took a lot of work to get it to do this, there's no 'cubism' button on the computer ;) It's entitled BobbyCubed... well, because the picture was of singer Bobby Darin.
    [image=http://gear.noerf.com/images/bobbycube.jpg]

    If you've ever seen anything by super-realist photographical artist Scott Mutter, well this is like that. It's called Castle (I really haven't thought of creative titles yet, obviously :p )
    [image=http://gear.noerf.com/images/castle.jpg]

    Ok, well I do have quite a few more, but I'll ease you into it ;)

    I wish I had the time and the patience to do something cool. :( I built myself a bookshelf two weeks ago. That's kind of artistic. Right? Right?

    Wow Rachel! :eek: Those are great! I love the Cubism and Castle pictures. Wonderful work!

    Sure John. Building things is kind of an art.

    For my sister's birthday, I got her a brown paper mache box and painted it and stickered it and made it all purdy for her. She loved it. I did one for me as well (before hers. Mine was smaller, just to make sure the paints & brushes I was using would be ok), and this is the top of it.

    [image=http://www.strike9.com/file.aspx?path=/kasadilla/fullsize/myboxtop.jpg]

    I was so proud of my box! :D That's just the lid. The bottom of the box is like a metallic purple. :)

    Ok, some more graphic arts stuff now :)

    This is a Catch-22 wallpaper I made... it was really had to get the repeating lines to work and such...
    [image=http://www.gear.noerf.com/images/catchpaper2.jpg]

    Another Scott Mutter one... Not as fond of this one, though
    [image=http://www.gear.noerf.com/images/dog.jpg]

    This one was supposed to be any kind of futuristic piece that we wanted, as long as it had many layers. I like this one
