    Ever since working at one of those 'craft stores' I have taken an interest in their class schedule and on a whim, took a few. Now I am obsessed with knitting, scrapbooking, card making and stuffed animal making. It is disgusting how much money I now shell out at Jo-Ann stores, adding 'essentials' to a growing tower of craft crap.

    This thread is for those people like me--ones who like to craft. We can talk about projects, post pictures of finished projects, complain about how knitting needles don't come in the variety packs that crochetting needles come in and compare fabric stashes. :)

    I just finished my knitted and stuffed Darth Maul:
    [image=http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y178/jediyvette/MAUL2.jpg]
    Isn't he adorable?!
    (I really hated sewing the robe though...)

    Current projects:
    Knitted and stuffed Chewbacca--currently I am working on his tummy
    and my vacation scrap book--just finished matting all my pictures.

    Future Projects (tenative):
    Yellow and red felted bag

    Awww how cute.

    Lately I have been making earrings from rock beads and some otehr misc beads. Nothing fancy, but it is fun and gets me new unique earrings.

    That is the coolest Star Wars fan-thing I've seen in months, and keep in mind I moderate the Fan Films forum. :eek:

    Gah, Maul has such a cute smiley face! :D I can't wait to see your Chewy, but when will I get my knitted straightjacket :p

    I am a dork, so I make collages. I have some rather bizzaro ones at the moment, one which has lots of pictures of trees with weird kiddie drawing of bees over the top...must be spring getting to me!

    So Ms Droideka, how do you make the earrings? That's something I have wanted to do for a while

    Naw, collages rule! I run a newsstand so I end up with a ton of mags and I've got some wicked collages goin' on , on my desk and covering my notebooks and clipboards.
    My daughter is learning Flash and Fireworks in school this year and has been very influenced by my work - we're working on one twisted Flash animation!

    That's an awesome Darth Maul, Yvette!! I tried crocheting one time, but got as far as a pot holder. I envy those that can do that.

    A couple of my friends are into scrapbooking heavy-duty. Like Tracy, I make jewelry, mostly earrings. I love jewelry, and since starting the hobby the upside has been that my fave peices of jewelry can be repaired if I need to. Plus I can tailor necklaces, bracelets and earrings to go with outfits. It's also good for gift giving.

    That is awesome Yvette! I've been knitting and crocheting for 5 years, but I've never made anything Star Wars related. The closest I came to knerdy knitting was some Ravenclaw quidditch socks.

    In case you are looking for a new project, here is one from SW.com

    http://www.starwars.com/kids/activity/crafts/f20060214/index.html

    I took some of the SW fabric that came out last year for ROTS and made a jacket out of it. With the extra I made a Darth Vader quilted wall hanging . . . with fringe.

    I'm hand sequining another patch of Darth Vader fabric and I'm going to make a purse out of that one.

    I'm not a 'crafty' person persay as my art is my business -

    [image=http://carouselstores2.com/animuse/images/parkset.gif]

    I'll be taking these down to Jantzen beach mall later on this month and see if they want to carry them in their gift shop.

    Yeah, I need to make a jacket. I was going to do it patchwork, of all the cool fabric I see but can't decide between, but maybe it'll just be SW themed....
    Otherwise I wish I could post a picture of my lightsaber because it's freakin' AWESOME!

    That is so awesome!

    I bought a bunch of Princess Leia Flannel I had NO idea what I was going to make out of it. Maybe a jacket or even a flannel shirt would work. :D

    That's so friggen cute. He's just so happy. :)

    My mom is craft-obsessed . . . I can really enjoy certain things but I never have the time it seems. It's fun to go down to her house and help out with random **** though. There's kind of a hate for crafts in certain fine art departments but there's not really such a definite line I think. What? Where am I?
