I hate posting twice in a row, but whatever.

I finished my Slytherin hat. BUT I made it too big so instead of a stocking cap it is a Slytherin hipster beret. Still pretty cute and I hope the person I am giving it to doesn't mind being a Harry Potter Hipster.

I'd been wanting a different tv table for a while. Pricing what I wanted made me sad, so I decided to refurbish an old end table I had including adding a higher shelf for the tv. I told vin I'd post pics. I should have have taken photos during the process, but didn't. Also, not the best pictures, but you get the idea.

Painted it all black then cut up comics and used mod podge to glue and seal them This the top of the shelf I made.

Used dowels to attach shelf to table.

This morning I put it in place and am quite pleased with it.

Daughter need a jewelry box, especially for her necklaces and I passed one at Goodwill that I thought I could turn into a Tardis. Again really should have done before and after, but here's the afters.

A bit of paint and paper.

The pictures were from my 2015 calendar, but I thought a worthy sacrifice for a birthday gift for a Whovian.

Yvette, still looking for the right jewelry box.

Wanted more nerdy ornaments and figured to make a couple. Had gotten a wooden owl in the work Ornament exchange and immediately knew what I had to do with it. A bit of paint and new cardboard eyes and wings and Bubo emerged.

Another project I'd been working on for the last couple weeks was making a Farscape DRD from a computer mouse. Wound up doing two.

The close one is smaller and think I might make it a Christmas tree ornament for next year. Still not planning to put the tree up this year.
