Before - Legends The Darkness Beneath

The Sith have returned to the galaxy.
Darkness is once again spreading out
through the Republic. Their growing
numbers, many of those fallen Jedi,
are of growing concern to the Jedi
Order. However hope is at hand. The
discovery of an ancient text that
depicts the exsistence of an eons old
amulet enfused with Force energy has
fallen into the hands of a young Jedi
Knight. This could give the Jedi the
means to rid the galaxy of the Sith
once and for all.

An opening crawl....how very Star Wars...

 

As her ship entered hyperspace, Jedi Knight Kitana relinquished the controls of her starfighter. Her astromech droid - an R4 unit - would control their return to Coruscant. She had to meditate, her head was so full of questions. Her retreat to the Outer Rims had wielded an...unexpected and curious discovery.

She had ventured to the Outer Rims for two reasons. She wanted to distance herself from the growing unrest and tension in the Republic. The exsitence of the new Sith threat had become common knowledge now and the hand of fear was beggining to close around the Republics throat. The Jedi Order was attempting to quell the panic, especially in the Senate, pledging to find and destroy the threat the Sith now presented. However finding their location was proving an almost futile task.

The Jedi Order had also suffered through this threat, losing many of it's young Knights - enticed to the Darkside of the Force by the lure of power. Kitana had known some of them, she had trained side by side with them since she was a youngling. It saddened her, but she put those feelings out of her mind and did not dwell on the past. It was not the Jedi way.

Wanting to increase her knowledge and connection with the Force she had requested a short hiatus which the Jedi Council had granted her.

Two. Curious and inquisitive by nature, the discovery of a new planet in the Outer Rims territory had been of great fascination to her. She had travelled to many worlds throughout her years as a Jedi, but there was a certain appeal to venture into the unknown.

Interesting update.

 

Situated on the far edge of the Outer Rims, Ritaru had been discovered on two standard years ago. Since then The Republic had attained a great deal of information via the use of deep space probe droids. The Republic had also sent out an Ambassadorial party to the planet not long after it's discovery. The party consisted of Republic representitves and scientists. The head of the Jedi Order, Master Horax, had also been present in the party. That, meeting and subsequent ones had went well, Ritaru had since enjoyed good relations with the Republic.

The ocean on Ritaru covers eighty percent of the planets surface. It immediately catches your attention as the suns rays shine through the clear blue water sending a haze of light dancing across the surface. The remainder of the planets surface is divided into three major land masses. Eeach different.

The first is a beautiful, tranquil landscape with great rolling hills, meadows and mighty rivers. Impressive cities of glass and metal dotted across the the landscape shime in the mid-day sun. It was almost reminiscent of Naboo.

The second is a collage of different hints and shades of green. The entire continent seemed almost one big rainforest save for a number of sites where gaps in the canopy revealed the locations of numerous large wooden villages and recreation areas. The inhabitants seemingly in a state of equilibrium with their surroundings, similar to that of the Wookies of Kashyyyk.

The third is a Tattoine-esq landscape, a dry arid enviroment where sandstorms rage across the desert.. Mighty dunes of sand and rock seemed to engulf the land, recedding only to give way to vast, barren plains. Plains of dry, parched earth where the ground underfoot is brittle and cracked through lack of moisture.

Down the East side of the continent,a colossal mountain range snakes it's way through the landscape, dominating the skyline for hundreds of miles. This monumental structure of nature stretches easily above even Coruscants tallest buildings. Even though there is plenty of water in an underground river, this continent is sparesly populated, home to only a few hermits, nomads and holymen.

The planets inhabinants, known as Rithurians are a humanoid species, standing at an average of seven foot tall. Their eyes shine a dull grey colour and are lidless. Their eye sockets are slightly depressed, giving their eyes an almost bulging effect. For their height, the Rithurians have a slight build, giving them an almost spindly apperance. Their skin glistens a pale turqoise. Their cranium - twice that of a normal human - is almost spherical in shape. This is due to the size of their large brain, plus the two inch of toughened cranium bone that protects it.

Very intriging updates since my last post. I like the world of Ritaru. It sounds like a gigantic planet filled with a lot of elemental features. I also liked your other update as well. Its getting to be a very interesting story settings and setup. I cant wait for the dialogues and the story going its going to be very neat. Good job keep her a going....
