Amph Here's Some Money, Go See A Swap Thing: DCU/Elseworlds Discussion

I guess this is the consolation prize for not getting live action Justice League Dark film directed by Guillermo de Toro. That's not so say that I won't enjoy the animated film, but I was hopeful to get a live action version of the property.


On another note, Henry Cavill was walking around SDCC and no one knew. At the Suicide Squad signing at the DC booth, the cast as well as the fans were surprised to see him under the masked. The cast ended up signing his shirt.

 

Who would you have cast, and do you have time to recut BvS and MoS with this new and hopefully age appropriate choice in there?

 

Teri Hatcher was the best Lois.

 

Yes but she's like 84 now, so you couldn't use her in BvS or MoS.

Idris Elba

 

Amy Adams is also 41 now.

Rebecca Hall could be a good choice. Jessica Chastain would have been awesome if she was 5 years younger.

 

Those 2 are both younger than Amy Adams.

 

It's not that Adams is a bad cast. It's that the character is really poorly written and inconsistent. Adams is a great actress, but even she couldn't find anything in that script. I'd never seen her flounder that badly; she was giving it her best shot, but, boy, nobody could have made that character work.

 

I think it had to do with both, I have nothing against her but I just think she does not fit the role.

Lois can't have too much to do if we are keep getting "Kal El" or "Superman" part but not plot of "Clark the reporter". Throughout MOS and BVS, we got way too little "Clark Kent the reporter", so this had affected Lois' characterization and plot as well, actually, I would say a lot.

 

Linda Harrison still looks good for a women in her 70's.

 

So, not too old then.

 

It got little to do with her age, she just doesn't fit this character well, and the plot got problem.

 

Taylor Swift would have made the plot better.

 

Why do we get so little Clark Kent scenes? In BVS it's mostly about Bruce-Superman-Lex Luthor.

 

She would've been a lousy Lex Luthor as well.

 

Still not much.

 

The movie is called "Batman v Superman", not Batman v Clark Kent.

 

But we got a lot of Bruce Wayne.

 

We had four public Bruce Wayne moments in DOJ. The rest of the time was Bruce Wayne as Batman, even when he's not in costume, he's still Batman.
