    Wow!! Very nice Bio, Nerdly! One thing, could you lower the size of your ships a bit? And your hyperdrives are a bit too fast(.001?) and what's with the speeds in kilometers a minute(900 KPM would be 54,000 kph... In the atmosphere?!)? Sorry to bug you about those things, but everything else looks great.

    I'm working on the opening post, how's tomorrow night sound for us begining?

    Oh, after reviewing my craft and looking at the tech level, I'm redoing mine, they are WAY overpowered...
    BTW, a class 1 hyper drive in this RP is like a class eight. The fastest ship in "modern" Star Wars times(NJO) is the Falcon's hyperdrive at 0.8...

    Large Heavy Vulcan Cannons are the common name for S-2A Cannons.


    Mega-Particle Las-Cannon is the new tech, as I neglected to mention it earlier and it will appear on some of the ships I post tomorrow.

    Just a little note on desinging ships, which is very hard to do, is:

    Anything under 15m dosen't have a hyperdrive.

    As for crew members, try 2 crew members or less for ever meter of lenght.

    Up to 1 weapon emplacement for every 15 meters

    Speed should be over 20,000 kph in space and less than 2,500 kph in the atmosphere...

    A ship should also have a purpose, put troops on landers and troop transports, battleships are for attacking, not carring around your armies...

    Just a note... Feel free to edit and revise your fleets.

    That's fine, it's a hard thing to do...

    With sublight speed just remember that the Apollo spacecraft were moving at over 24,000kph. At that speed it took them two days to get to the moon... The Falcon durring ANH, escaping from Tattooine, looked like it was going over 30-40,000kph, and I'd say it's top speed would push 200,000kph for the Falcon, after accelerating for several hours. Now top speed in space is tricky because you have little to no drag from gravity and air particles to slow you down, so theorecticly, a space craft should be able to, with an unlimited supply of fuel, keep accelerating up to the point where the speed was equal to the volcity of the medium being expeled from the engine...

    ~~Soon after societies began building hyperdrives and had interstellar transportation, wars broke out among them and alliances were formed long before the Republic was ever heard of. This RP requires allot of imagination, creation and the ability to be VERY realistic. If your just joining, sorry, but no more species or systems can be made. However feel free to create your own society of outcast and pirates using in one of the systems and species listed below or join someone?s government and society... The interesting thing about this RP, if you may have up to 6 main characters (and many secondary ones as you want), and any realistically sized fleet (A battle group should be no more than 3-4 battle ships and several smaller cruisers. If you have already signed up, just post your vessels, technology and character sheets, I?ve already got your systems and species up.~~

    Rules and plot:

    The point of this RP is to build realistic systems and governments, then have them interact. Rules are basically make stuff small and believable, remember this is thousands of years before the movies and KOTOR, so this isn't about Jedi and Sith and the technology is way different. A class one hyperdrive here is like a class eight hyperdrive in the movies. Nav computer computations take hours and hyperspace jumps take weeks, even across only several light years distance and there is NO instant interstellar communication. There's no superlasers or several kilometers long battle stations. The weapon systems aren't blasters, but your own weapons. Nuclear energy and weapons are common place, etc. If you've ever played Freelancer or Starlancer you can figure it's just beyond that technology level.
