The Dental Work in AOTC

Since we've exhausted virtually every imagineable angle of discussion (whew!) on the 2nd episode of the prequels, it seems to me we need a completely fresh approach to liven things up around here.

The first few years David Letterman had his late night show on NBC in the 80s, he used to send dentists to review movies, and they would come back and comment on the teeth of the actors.

So let's take a page from the Letterman book
and look at Attack of the Clones from the standpoint of dentistry.

To get the ball rolling, I have to say that while he's a fine (if somewhat theatrical) actor, Christopher Lee has surely made enough money in his career to have some good cosmetic dentistry done. He's got the worst HUMAN teeth in the entire saga!!!

Don't forget, he's English. I believe it's an NHS requirement that British subjects not be provided with dental work....which leads us to the truly worst teeth of the saga, Palpatine's. You can see the beginnings of his dental Dark Side degeneration in ATOC when he smiles after saying, "an old friend like...Master Kenobi." Now those teeth truly need to be the subject of a power more significant than the ability to destroy a planet. Yes, do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor, but be sure to question the abilities of his team of dentists, who can be seen in ROTJ and are known as the Imperial Dignitaries, too embarrassed to be known as the Emperor's Dentists.

I thought that Anakin's teeth were a little too white in some scenes like the confession and the picnic.

 

Careful...Maul's horrendously grotesque teeth were a part of the Phantom Menace, so any such discussion would belong in the forum for Episode I. We don't want to anger
the ever-vigilant, hardworking and persnickety Yoda Jeff!

PADME: Suffering? A good anti-inflammatory toothpaste should help fix that.

The Maul question was directed to those who said that Dooku's teeth were the worst in the saga, I didn't mean to introduce it as an object of discussion.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that, Super_Nation_Jock. But methinks that's actually a nifty set o' caps. I read somewhere Hayden used to play hockey, maybe that's why he's got them purely perfect choppers.

OBI-WAN'S teeth, then, seem to be all right. I find it distracting if the actor has teeth so bright they'd glow in a black light.

Yeah if you notice you hardly see Obi's teeth at all especially with a beard. if you've seen Trainspotting you know why.
