This is a shameless plea for sympathy :D

    I've got a dentist appointment at 3pm today. :(

    and I haven't been in 2 and a half years, so I just know I'm gonna get in trouble . . .

I hate the way the dentist is always saying 'open wider, open wider!'
and you're thinking 'if I open my mouth any wider I'm gonna dislocate my jaw!'

Also it's probably going to cost over $100, which means no more Star Wars action figures for a while . . . is it worth it??

    Is it worth it????
    a great question
teeth are important we do eat with them
    So yeah, maybe
i have not tried to eat with SW figures.

However i know what you mean about the jaw being close to dropping off
I hate the hours after as the injection wears off

do they teach them that sort of thing at Uni???
Can someone in Dunedin answer that one.

Two and a half years?!?! Is THAT all!!

I haven't bothered going to a dentist since school - and that was more years ago than I care to add up (more than ten anyway).

I've not had any problems either - part of one filling/tooth broke off a few years ago, but hasn't caused any worries.

(Damn, there's no smiley with teeth missing!)

    awwww, poor Kitt.

Just think, your teeth are very important, you want them to last as long as you want to eat. (I hope mine last a long time)

my last dentist visit, I was told I SHOULD get my wisdom teeth out. Fancy the dentist giving me a choice! guess which option I went for...

I went to the dentist for the first time in 3 years at the start of this year and I managed to scrape through unscathed. Still no fillings :D

Hmmm what's this? I'll just poke at it with this sharp pointy instrument of death...

    Aaargh!

    Oo she's a bit tender :D

Well, I went and it was horrible. Even worse than my nightmares about it last week :D

and that was just the check-up. I've got to go back for a filling next Thursday.

Going to the dentist . . it's like taking your car to get a WOF. They always manage to find something wrong so they can charge you more.

Actually, you could probably use your star wars toys to eat. You could use them to grind up the food so you don't have to chew it. That's looking like a pretty good option right now . . .

What you should do is go hard out eating lollies and drinking coffee as your teeth will be getting fixed anyway in a couple of days.

I go to the dentist once a year and so far I've had no fillings :D

You should get your wisdom teeth out Chansplace. I got all four of mine out about six months ago and boy did it hurt for about 24 hours afterwards but after that it was fine. You can't eat properly for like 2-3 days though :(

It set me back nearly $1,500 from memory but its worth it in the end as the longer you wait the more it will cost you :(

Yep, I've got an axe too, but that's a slightly more expensive "treatment" because it permanently keeps you from having any future tooth problems (or headaches). ;)

Well i'm quite prepared to do it for $450 using a new technique that involves a fish hook, line, a door and one rusty spoon.

Well, today's the day again. But I'm gonna be tough, and I'm going to go in there acting like Princess Leia would, and say 'don't worry about the injection. I can handle pain.'

If I never post here again, you'll know I've died. *sniff* I hope Attack of the Clones is good.
