I can't stand him...can you?

Um.....no. Jacen is one of my favorite characters. Could you at least post why you hate him so much instead of just saying that you do?

 

I can't stand him because he's too meek...he's almost a passifist...even for Jedi standards...
I havn't read anything past Star by Star yet, (waiting for the paperback) so maybe he gets a little tougher after that...he seemed to get getting a little better in the book before star by star

Well you better start liking him soon, Geare, because he's gonna be the primary hero of the NJO when it all ends. And then you'll feel stupid i think.

 

What's wrong with being a pacifist?? The GFFA needs more people like Jacen.....violence is not always the answer even though some people think it is.

 

See that's the main problem in the GFFA.Everyone likes the tough guy like Anakin,but who likes pacifist.I'm guessing not that many people.

 

Nope, empathic, compassionate, merciful and peaceful characters are not too appealing in the GFFA at all. Especially one as prone to vacillation as Jacen.


Or in any scifi/fantasy for that matter.


Jacen in particular draws power from the Force through a peace within.

 

Jacen will have a large roll in Traitor, like it or not.

 

I always thought that not liking Jacen said more about the reader than it did him.

 

I agree, it seems to be the fans what him to satrt a killing spree, while philosophy may hold the answer.

Oh p-lease. It says nothing about the person, aside from the fact they like Jacen. END.

 

RF I said NOT liking Jacen in that some people don't like characters that are "pacifist" as has been said here and crave more overt action.

 

I like him a whole lot better than some other characters. So no, can't say I really want him to die.

I'm in the middle. I don't want him dead, because he is an intresting character. I don't LIKE him though, if you see the difference.

I'd also like the NJO to not finish with him the almighty saviour of everything, but Noone listens to me

We should start our own mini Rebellion against LFL, and get our demands met

 

I'd like to trade my old, slighty shaped Jacen for a Anakin circa page 1 of SbS please.

 

Of course anyone would prefer Anakin but Jacen.. well we don't "see" him in Dark Journey but he's there in SBS and has a good role in it. I can't wait to see him develop into a more powerful Jedi, he will surely change his ways in the next books.

I doubt he will. I hate the boy, I would like to see him die. He COULD have and SHOULD have killed Tsavong Lah. Even if Lah had fallen out the window, Jacen is of the Skywalker Jedi line. He could have jumped out, killed Lah, and any other Vong there. Especially since the Vong were not to look upon Lah, he would have only needed to kill Lah. He wasn't doing any good for Leia at the time, because he couldn't heal her either.

Hey man, this is a board for reasonable people, not those who can't back up their opinions with facts.

I have no problem with you not liking Jacen. I just don't like to hear opinion without reason, thats one of the things screwing this world up today.
