OK. I'm convinced my Chem prof is the lovechild of Fozzie Bear and Ray Romano.! The voice is gonna be a slight distraction. The Calc instructor is awesome! Then we workout in the afternoon. (I can barely lift my arms to type. I'm gonna hafta get used to this!) Then my late Programming and Data Structures class. If she wasn't so attractive, the late hours would SUCK!!!!! (OK, they suck anyway....)

BTW, Dajuan. Any advice on how to set up my new calculator....that I'm holding as we speak? ;)

Microsoft Networking certification is a 'passport' into the union that supports computer techs in St. Louis. It is my ticket to a job. I have to take a 40 hour class and a 4 hour test that has be passed with a 80% or better. But I can do that.

I just decided that I am too old to deal with the politics of going to UMSL (I am being polite here) and that I really didn't want to go into management. I am an information systems specialist and that is where my main interest lies. I have my AS, (as of December) and that is the min. requirement for the union.

I am lucky that the people who fund my schooling are very understanding and are offering to pay for two cert. classes. They are expensive! $900 just for the class and another $175 for the test and I am not sure what the book is going to cost.

I do feel better about life now. :) Yesterday wasn't a good day for me...

Wow. I am challenging Scott for longest entry...Thanks guys. I do appreciate your comments.

After taking a class and taking the A+ test I recommend just finding a nice thick book, reading through that and taking the test based on that. I passed the harware portion on knowledge I already had, but then right before I finished the course they upgraded to including windows XP. Well, my bood didn't even mention xp, except to say that it existed, so I never took the software part of it.

I took it lets see I guess that would have been fall semester of 03. If you have ever even ventured into the interior of a computer you are almost guaranteed to know enough for the hardware portion.

Oh, I have spent many an hour with the insides of computers...I have built more for friends than I could count on both hands... So hopefully I am good to go with that part of it. My main interest though, has always been the software/programming end...hmm, maybe I don't have to much to worry about. [face_thinking]

Thanks for letting me know John, I really appreciate the feedback. :)

Most of the software portion (I believe) is a lot of general questions like how to use various dos commands, there might be a list of 5 things it will ask which 4 are the main registry folders, its basically general stuff like that.

Maybe not. She gave me a 92%!!!!!! (The class average is 80%) She is the pickiest grader I've ever seen! At least 75% of the test was exactly the same as last semester's, which I used to study for this test....
