As I understand it, Lasseter was not at Pixar anymore, but working at Disney. Think I agree that, if true, he should be replaced. A safe work place is the most important thing and no one should ever have to put up with harassment. Too bad he made those decisions; the guy did some really good work in animation. It's going to be really hard watching Toy Story now.

Speaking of; Coco is tremendously good. It’s the first time in a while I’ve liked a Pixar film.

Maybe he is/was pulling double duty. I do know he was producing a lot of the modern Disney animated movies (when he started doing that was when Disney started getting good again).

When it came out in theaters I remember my mom said I was too young to see it in theaters even though all my friends got to.

(remember parents... kids WILL remember everything you say or do.... forever...)

In the article I read They said Lasseter was taking a sabbatical from Pixar so that suggests to me he still ran or worked for Pixar. I got the article from MSN...

Has anyone here seen Something Wicked This Way Comes? A forgotten Disney film from the early 80's (1983) starring Jonathan Pryce and Jason Robards, based on the Ray Bradbury short story. I saw it a couple of months ago, and I really enjoyed it. Both of the kid leads are good, as are Pryce and Robards. Very dark for a Disney flick, so that's probably why it's not well remembered. It has some very impressive effects work along with some creepy imagery. Also has a great score from the late James Horner. I'd recommend it.

The reviews for it were lukewarm, and it's also pretty dark for a kid's film. Not nearly as dark as The Black Hole, but it's still pretty mature.

Did your theater have the "Frozen/Olaf" 20 minute short play before Coco? I heard that Disney pulled the short from further showings as it was only "for a limited time," but many feel it was because many audiences complained about it being too long and therefore removed.

yea we got the Frozen short I had no problem with it, all Pixar movies have Cartoons before them I wish most movies had Cartoons before them even live action, imagine 20th century FOX movies with say, Bobs Burgers, Family Guy, or The Simpsons cartoon shorts before them I would love that. It Is what they used to do in the Golden age of cinema back in the 40's and 50's! I heard they were pulling the Frozen Short but not in America In Mexico they were starting to remove the Frozen short from the film...
