    The Disney RPG 2: Fall of Shadows

    Location: The Haunted Mansion

    Evil can sometimes come in very attractive packages. This is something most of us know. It is a lesson that will soon be learned.

    Every September, Jack Skellington visited the Haunted Mansion. The powers that be gave him the opportunity every year to redecorate the place in his own design. Jack loved Christmas as much as he loved Halloween, and the fact that he was able to combine his two loves every year in the magnificent manor of William Gracey was something he treasured above almost anything.

    They said his work was enjoyed by millions of people around the world. He never saw them from his position in the Land of Imagination, but his "handiwork" was able to translated over into reality. Jack was a notoriously proud skeleton, and he made sure he did the best job he possibly could every single holiday season.

    "Be sure not to drop the garland!" he shouted to one of Halloweentown's Vampire trio. The tentacles of the unhappy garland were trying to tie up the vampire with little success, its teeth gnashing unsuccessfully.

    "Where do we put these?" asked the Mummy, holding up a tree of Tarot Cards.

    "Madame Leota's Room please. Down the hall at the end!" Jack replied.

    He walked off to the side as the Mummy toddled off. His coworkers were quite dense about this whole Christmas thing. Jack had tried again and again to explain it to them, but it was of little use. Some people you just couldn't take out of their environment. Ah well.

    "Hello Jack!" a feminine voice sounded. Jack smiled, turned around, and was greeted by the beautiful face of Sally coming down another hall. She looked a little out of breath, but she was smiling.

    "Oh hello there Sally" Jack replied. "Is something the matter?"

    Sally stopped in front of the Pumpkin King. "The Mayor and I found something in the graveyard. He wanted you to take a look at it."

    Something? Hm! Jack had not seen anything out of the ordinary there before. It was populated with the most pleasant of ghosts, but nothing unusual. How exciting this was!

    "Certainly!" Jack said, following Sally down the hall. A turn here, a step there, and soon the duo had exited the Manor, arriving at a perfectly gloomy and sprawling graveyard. All around, various monsters were dressing the tombstones with garland.

    "Hey Jack, Hey there!, Hey whats happening?" chirped in the singing head quintet.

    "Hello there boys." Jack said with a smile and a wave, going over and rubbing their marble heads. "Ready for another Christmas season?"

    "Of course Jack. Your scaroles are so well written" said the deep-voiced one.

    "You're too kind! ... ah, if you'll excuse me guys." Jack replied as he went off to where Sally and The Mayor stood. In front of them was a large door and frame Jack had never seen before.

    "Hm, so this is the special something." Jack said, furrowing his bony brow. "How did you find this?" He moved in close to inspect it.

    "Well!" said the mayor, putting on his nervous face. "Lock, Shock, and Barrel showed it to me. They told me they found it while they were decorating these graves with Sandy Claws hats."

    Jack was carefully examining the stone frame of this large gray wooden door. It had gems on it, each with a picture carved into it. A star. A skull. A flame. A mountain. And the whole door itself was attached to the cut side of a hill near the Gracey family crypt. Perhaps the hill was not a hill, but some sort of a chamber?

    Attack 1: Karnage's Sword: As a pirate, Karnage is a trained and seasoned warrior. Generally disdaining personal firearms like handguns (since he is an average shot with them anyway), Karnage prefers more traditional weapons such as his favorite steel cutlass, the age-old weapon of pirates in centuries past. Although Karnage rarely has occasion to use his cutlass, he practices daily and keeps the weapon well-polished and handy in all situations. Few have seen Don Karnage wield the blade in actual hand-to-hand combat, but by all accounts he is a masterful swordsman.

    Attack 2: Tri-Wing Terror: Karnage's own custom CT-37 triplane, preforms a staffing run damaging several enemies with its six 20mm cannons.

    Attack 3: Plunder from the Sky: The Iron Vulture is Karnage's pirate airship. Its an impressive piece of technology that has served Karnage well. When preforming Plunder from the Sky the mighty Airship bombards Karnage's enemies with its two massive bow cannons, and other arrays of weaponry depending on the situation.

    Attack 1: Karate Chop Action: One of the favorite features of Buzz Lightyear from all of our young customers, the Space Ranger's new and improved Karate Chop Action attack allows Buzz to bring his right arm down in a vicious attack that deals a decent amount of damage to his fellow plastic (and not so plastic) enemies! Just don't tell him you can activate it by pushing the button on his back. He won't believe you.

    Attack 2: Falling With Style: Using our patented dual wing extending action design, Buzz Lightyear can extract wings from his specialized Galactic Alliance Space Ranger armor, and use them for air resistance that allows him to attack his enemies in a gliding fashion, knocking them to the ground and stunning them temporarily, allowing him to take full advantage against his fallen foe. Yes, he really thinks he is flying. Humor him.

    Attack 3: Little Green Minions: Another one of our outstanding best-selling toys, the Little Green Men have grown to idolize Buzz Lightyear due to his noble and heroic endeavors to save them from the clutches of evil time and time again. On occasion, Buzz can call in a favor from these pesky aliens and order them to attack or distract an enemy to give him and his allies more time to plan an attack or recover from a disadvantage. Just don't let Mrs. Potato Head know. She'd kill us.

    Attack 1: Kronk-Fu - Kronk's own brand of close-quarters combat. Simple but effective. Sounds a lot cooler than it really is.
    Attack 2: Exploding Spinach Puffs - Kronk's specialty in the kitchen, with an added bit of a kick.
    Attack 3: Double-Dutch - Kronk's own variation of the skip-rope classic.

    Attack 1: Hunting Weapons (Hunting Shotgun & Hunting Knife). Clayton's signature weapons, as a veteran he is extremely accurate and deadly with both. The sound of his shotgun is so ominous it can be used to identify the poacher.

    Attack 2: Machine Gun. The added rate of attack provides Clayton with more hits with his already excellent marksmanship. He doesn't spray into crowds, this is used solely for taking on one to three opponents that need more muscle than the double barreled hunting shotgun provides.

    Attack 3: Summon: Exploding Oil Barrels. In the alternate ending to Tarzan, Clayton and Tarzan fought aboard the ship. The result there was a large amount of oil barrels catching fire and exploding, killing Clayton. Here, Clayton summons the barrels to explode all around himself, hitting multiple enemies and doing a very large amount of damage.

    Attack 1: Kick-inator 5000: Originally meant for his family kickball tournament, now he uses it to give a powerful kick to an enemy.
    Attack 2: Freezeanator: A machine that shoots a beam that can freeze whomever it hits.
    Attack 3: Space-laser-inator: Originally, yet accidently, built by Phineas and Ferb, Dr. D stole it back and will now use it to destroy any enemy in his way.

    Attack 1: The Punch - It is basically what it sounds like, a strong and powerful punch trained by many adventures the great mouse detective had.
    Attack 2: The Detective´s Friend - While not a friend of weapons, Basil is able to wield his stick with such speed he can attack up to five enemies faster than the eyes can see.
    Attack 3: The Chemical Solution - His pipe has many good uses. Among them it tastes good. But in his experiments beneath Bakerstreet Basil has actually found that certain components make a very good combination. If used in a pipe, these components set free a gas that let´s all fall to sleep for 24 hours around him.

    Attack 1: Elvis Impersonation Smash Although Stitch likes to play the guitar, he also is not hesistant to sacrifice a guitar when he can take out enemies by smashing the body over their head, stunning them temporarily. And, he likes to do it Elvis-style as well, singing a version of "Hound Dog" as he attacks.

    Attack 2: Plasma Guns The good thing about being an experiment is that you have more than two arms. Stitch puts all four arm apendages to good use with the help of four plasma guns, giving him the capability of taking out several enemies at once with the extra firepower. Stitch knows what he's doing . . . or does he?

    Attack 3: Blue Punch Buggy! Stitch can lift objects weighing 3,000 times heavier than he is in a flash. To clear a room, all Stitch needs to do is find something large enough to take out a room full of baddies at one time and give it a toss. We've seen what he can do with a gasoline tanker, so please don't make him mad.

    Attack 2: Animal Whack: Genie changes himself into whatever animal suites his mood using its ability to attack, such as a Llama to spit, donkey to kick, or a ram to...etc.
    Attack 3: Awesome Phenominal Cosmic Power! Itty-bitty living space: Can grant one comically phenominal wish to another character, but cannot grant his own wishes. No refunds, confusions, or delusions. Still must abide the three rules, can't kill anybody, bring somebody back from the dead-I don't like doing it, I won't do it anymore!, or make anybody fall in love, sey lamor. Also no wishing for more wishes...or tricking for more wishes!

    Attack 1: Creeper, Deal With Them

    Sullying his hands dealing with pathetic riff-raff is beneath the dreaded Horned King. He sends his goblin lackey, Creeper, to deal with them instead. Creeper is a competent melee fighter, but is limited by his size and power. Fortunately, the Horned King has an effective method of handling failure.

    Attack 2: Bring Me The Pig!

    The Horned King calls forth his twin Gwythaints to swoop in and attack a small group of enemies. As is to be expected, they're more effective than Creeper could ever hope to be. Of course, they're much less compliant.

    Attack 3: Arise, My Messengers Of Death!

    By placing a skeletal body into the Black Cauldron, the Horned King summons forth an army of undead Cauldron Born, which surge out of the Black Cauldron and attack those foolish enough to stand in opposition to the King. These cauldron born, however, are not as effective as they would normally be, and dissipate shortly thereafter. The Horned King has yet to decipher why, exactly, this is occurring.

    Shan Yu summons an army of Hun horsemen for a single devastating charge, laying waste to anything in their path.

    Attack 1: Claws of Death - Simba uses his claws to carve up his opponent. If that doesn't do the trick, well, every claw is attached to a ginormous lion paw ...
    Attack 2: Roar - The force of Simba's roar freaks out a lot of people. Stuns and terrifies nearby opponents (and possibly allies too, if they're not paying attention, but they probably know the big lion's on their side... right?), thus allowing him or anyone else to carve them up nicely.
    Attack 3: Summon Circle (of Life) - Calls a whole bunch of wild animals to fight at Simba's side. He is the Lion King, after all.

    Attack 2: "High Sticking" - Having both a wooden hockey stick and a composite stick, Wildwing can outmatch anyone with his fighting skills (he's an excellent fighter, after all, he is a hockey player.)
    Attack 3: Ducksaber - A weapon on loan from his friend and teammate Duke, the Ducksaber has a blade made of pure energy (similar to a lightsaber) and it can also extend outward and become an energy whip.

    Attack 1: Freeze! - Freezing Rays shoot out of Frozone's hands that can immobilize or even crystallize his target.

    Attack 2: Deep Freeze!! - Similar to Freeze!, Frozone sends a 'Freezing Shockwave' that can affect several targets at once, also immobilizing or crystallizing them.

    Attack 3: Ice Storm!!! Frozone lifts his hands to the Heavens and is able to affect his surrounding area to such a degree, that he can 'call down' an Ice Storm of great intensity which clears the entire field of hostile targets. Doing this drains him completely and leaves him fatigued.

    Attack 1: Bird Menagerie-Jasmine's bird menagerie will return to aid her in gratitude for their freedom. Though they may appear cute and harmless, in reality this flock is quite effective at causing lasting damage.

    Attack 2:Apple Throwing-Thanks to her relationship with Aladdin, Jasmine has become quite effective at using fruit as a weapon! She can throw an endless supply of apples at any and all attackers. This can be used to knock an enemy out, trip them up, or merely inflict a good deal of pain.

    Attack 3: Rajah Attack-Rajah, Jasmine's faithful pet tiger, obeys every command his mistress makes, including attacking anyone deemed a threat. This usually consists of tackling and pinning them to the ground, followed by claws and teeth.

    Attack 1: Blade Swipe - Using the sword borrowed from her father, Mulan attacks her opponent with the blade.

    Attack 2: Flaming Arrow - Mulan sets the tip of an arrow on fire and takes aim at her foe.

    Dragon Rocket - Mulan uses a cannon from her bag of items and depending on her aim, she can at least stun all enemies on the field for some time.

    GM's OOC: Some last minute notes before you all head out!

    Remember that this is a free-form RPG. You can take your time getting to missions, or you can rush there. You can choose any of the opening missions you would like to play. Mix and match lands, mix and match teams, etc. etc. etc. We do encourage you to at least make a team (some teams?) before you start taking missions. We will make missions easier for larger groups, and more difficult for solo players. Remember also that missions have an order... you must work your way up before you take on the boss stages.

    The following post is an micro-view of each of the lands, which you are encouraged to incorporate into your story as you explore them. The NPC lackeys wandering the lands (non-mission lackeys) can be responsibly played by characters as you move along, though the GMs reserve the right to occasionally harass you with them.

    When you begin a mission, please end your post with the following:

    BEGIN: [INSERT MISSION HERE]
    TAG: [INSERT RELEVANT GM HERE]


    This will make it clear when you are ready to begin your mission, and which mission you are doing / joining. Every member of a party should do this so we know.

    We will try to be prompt with responses, though we both do have pretty busy RL lives. We will try very hard to hold to a maximum wait of one week from the tag. If we run later than that, you are encouraged to harass, heckle, and bug us until we update. ;)

    When a mission is cleared, the relevant GM will make a "land post" detailing what has happened to the land and any villains involved due to the mission's clearance.

    We may add some OOCs as the game rolls along and the inevitable issue pops up. Also remember that PMs are valued and loved when you have questions.

    Also, if you are having difficulty visualizing the land for the game, its modeled on Disneyland Anaheim in all parts except Frontierland. Think of it like Disneyland Anaheim, but with Critter Country squashed in between Adventureland and Frontierland.

    You all start at the Main Street Train Station. Where you go and with who is totally up to you. :)

    Mainstreet USA

    Welcome to Mainstreet USA.

    Of all the lands in the park, Mainstreet certainly stands as the most quiet. It is the calm before the upcoming storm. The land itself is a long street, reminiscent of 19th Century American cities. At its far southern tip is the Disneyland Railroad Station. Located on a raised berm, it is now a fortified building. The steps leading up to it are now under constant watch, and inside the building resides what remains of Disneyland's proud heroes and un-allied villains. They have not been here long, only for a few days. And they will not remain much longer. Inside this turn-of-the-century Alamo, these characters are marshaling their forces for a last-ditch counterattack.

    The EP Ripley, #2 of the Disneyland Railroad, sits outside the Station. It has been grounded since the Darkness blocked the pipes leading into the station's water tower. The locomotives stout nose pointed westward into the Adventureland wilds. It was anxious to run again.

    The foggy grip of the darkness in Mainstreet was, arguably, rather light. It existed as mere whisps throughout most of the land, almost as though the storefronts and shops were not worth going through the trouble to corrupt. They had all been boarded up before the occupation anyway.

    Attack 1: Platypus Growl ? We all know that Perry?s distinctive growl makes the women swoon, but a louder version of the patented sound can also be used as a weapon. This stunning phenomenon is Perry?s standard attack. It can inflict a moderate amount of damage upon one enemy, both male and female alike.

    Attack 2: Tail Whomp ? This is an upgraded attack that can be used twice during a mission. Agent P pounds any surface with his strong beaver tail. The resulting shockwave causes significant damage to a group of enemies.

    Attack 3: Hat Assault ? Perry?s fedora isn?t just some brown hat. Not only does it identify him as a secret agent, but it also acts as a powerful tool. Pulling an internal spring starts a motor that causes the brim of the hat to spin like a circular saw. When thrown, the razor sharp hat acts like a boomerang, hitting all enemies present before returning to the furry little flatfoot.

    Railroad Station, Main Street USA

    Inside the station, a man the size of an ox was perched upon the rafters, disdainfully surveying the huddled refugees below. A falcon sat upon his shoulder.

    He was a proud and powerful warlord, and his name was Shan Yu. It would not have been a surprise to have seen him out among the Forces of Darkness, leading them in their conquest of the Disney Lands. But they had not sought him out. And if they did not desire him as an ally, then they would bow to him as an enemy.

    By ignoring his worth they had challenged his strength. Well, he would play their game.

    Main Street held no interest for him. It was the least valuable of the lands, and there was no glory in securing it. In any case, there were enough rabble to mop up any threat in the area.

    Fantasyland enchanted him like a siren, singing songs of war and victory against impossible odds. The heartland of the Great Park was the greatest prize of all- but it was too soon, even for Shan Yu. He had not yet tested his sword against this darkness, nor had he evaluated the abilities of any potential companions. An assault on Fantasyland would require strategy and experience. Now was not the time.

    To the immediate west was Adventureland, and the Jungle beckoned like an old friend. He knew how to live off the earth. Hayabusa was used to flying in such skies. Tribal warriors and fierce beasts were opponents of power but also predictability.

    To the immediate east was Tomorrowland...and it did not call to him. It was a strange, unsettling world, full of light and sound that he did not understand. What demons and magicks lay in wait there? His knowledge of science and technology was too rudimentary to grasp the nature of that place. It presented a challenge to him unlike anything he had faced before.

    "Perfect," he said to himself.

    He dropped down from the rafters, landing on the ground with a loud crash, causing nearby refugees to scatter with fear. He looked up, staring at the motley crew of colourful beings around him. There were a great many of them, but they were no Hun army. They would have to do.

    "Enough hiding!" he growled. "I go to reclaim Tomorrowland! Who here has the strength to follow me?"

    Attack 2: Hockity Pockity (causes inanimate objects in the area to attack Baddies)
    Attack 3: Malignalitaloptereosis (Shapeshifting into a germ and incapacitating all enemies)

    Merlin can appear and disappeared easily, cause inanimate objects to do his bidding (when attacking it is Hockity Pockity) and can shapeshift himself and at least one other.

    Mim can fly on her broom, and transmute herself into animal, vegetable, or mineral. She is modeled after Mad Madam Mim from European Disney comics, she has lost her truly evil streak, and appears both morbid yet still relatively polite.

    The table shook as the large Hun hit the ground, which in turn jostled the chess pieces and ruined the current game.
    ?Ah dash it! Didn't your mother teach you any manners?? Merlin starts righting the pieces. ?Don't lose your temper Merlin it's only a game.? Merlin looks at Mim. ?Of course you would say that Mim, you were losing. Oh well its time we stopped mopping around and did something about the situation.?
    ?Speak for yourself Merlin, personally I like mopping.?
    Merlin just glared at Mim as he opened his small bag. ?All right everyone inside.? the chess board came alive and started to file in to the bag. A white pawn tried to muscle in front of the white queen. ?Now stop that! You wait your turn!? The chided piece skulked back to its place in line.
    ?Ok Merlin. Lets go liberate Fantasyland...?

    ?Wait, we shouldn't be so hasty. We need to formulate a plan, not go running off willy nilly, that's a good way to get killed.?
    ?Merlin your such an old fuddie duddie. Where do you suggest we go??

    ?Well, through the logical reasoning of securing a fortified position, I believe we should restore the Railroad. I say we explore the Old Hotel to find the block in the water main.?

    Darkwing Duck, the hero of St. Canard, had heard of the Darkness plaguing this great Disney land. Striving to be the greatest hero of all, he agreed to join this team and fight back against the evil that looms.

    Wildwing Flashblade, on the other hand, was hoping to visit some of his friends here during hockey's off-season. Instead, he found the Darkness upon his arrival. Having not seen action in quite a while, he agreed to join the team of heroes.

    The two of them stood amongst the crowd of heroes. Darkwing was thinking how awesome it seemed. After all, he hadn't been in a "team-up" since the whole Justice Ducks thing back-in-the-day.

    And Wildwing was looking over the others. He was used to being on a team, but his teammates usually had high-tech weaponry and the like. He wondered just how well these heroes would do in battle.

    Their thoughts were interrupted when the rather large human, Shan Yu, leaped down from the rafters and exclaimed, "Enough hiding! I go to reclaim Tomorrowland! Who here has the strength to follow me?"

    "Well, of course I have the strength," Darkwing responded, walking toward him. "But don't you suppose we devise some sort of plan first? A true hero needs strategy. He needs to know his enemy, know his enemy's weakness. He needs to --" He stopped short in front of the Hun. He hadn't realized how huge the man was. Darkwing was practically half his height. A bit frightened, Darkwing swallowed hard, then managed to spit out, "Or, heh, we could do it your way."

    "I agree that Tomorrowland is a good place to start," Wildwing commented. "That Astro Orbiter power core could become a major advantage to us early on in this war." He paused, and with a smile, added, "Plus, I'm partial to the high-tech stuff." He indicated the Puckworld battle armor he wore.

    Darkwing zipped over toward Merlin. That magician didn't seem nearly as scary as the Hun. "Yes, excellent suggestion," Darkwing said. "The water main is a great idea."

    Goliath scowled as he and his fellow heroes gathered together in Main Street. Their kingdom, for the time being was gone...no their castle was taken from them by the enemy, and why? What did they all do to deserve the terrible fate of losing friends, sent who knows where, and their shelter for what? Goliath grunted and pouted, as other inhabitants pushed past him, trying to find friends and family. After seeing one of the Land's creatures cower behind a tall building, he allowed he held at bay to finally flow into his consciousness.

    It happened because they had been too soft and gentle. Just because they and there home's where peaceful didn't mean they should have never prepared for the worst, Goliath thought sourly. Now because of that all of his brothers where gone it seemed. Goliath had looked around for a while now, and it appeared that even Xantos fell victim to that darkness. Even more reason to think he was behind this. Goliath had long ago learned that Xantos' Gambits always favored him, even when it appeared that actions taking place certainly couldn't allow anything good to come of them.

    "Buzz Lightyear to Star Command, come in Star Command." No response. "Star Command, come in, do you read me? Why won't they answer..."

    Buzz stood tucked away in a corner, safely out of view from the rest of the crowd that was currently gathered at the train station on Main Street. He was cautious, having never encountered such life forms as the ones he now observed from the shadows.

    "Communication relays must have failed somehow," the space ranger pondered aloud to himself, tapping the forearm portion of his suit where colored readouts were painted on white plastic. "I'll have to find some way to contact Star Command." Buzz looked around and found that his ship was nowhere in sight. Now was not the time to go looking for it, however. He tapped another 'button' on his suit, and spoke again to his wrist.

    "Buzz Lightyear Mission Log. Stardate 4072. My ship has run off course en route to sector 12. I've crash landed on a strange planet. The impact must have awoken me from my hyper-sleep. My ship is nowhere to be found. Terrain is stable, and there appears to be a slight fog around the area that grows stronger further down the path. No read-out yet if the air is breathable. I'm safely hidden from the wildlife for now. Will report more as I investigate further. Buzz Lightyear out."

    Taking a deep breath and keeping his laser beam at the ready, Buzz Lightyear slowly stepped out from the shadows.
