IC: Captain Phoebus
Unsure of where to go

Phoebus led his horse down the streets, moving towards the group of people on Main Street. "Achilles, I should have listened to Esmerelda. Paris might have been nice this time of year..." His horse merely snorted at him as the two trotted further. Phoebus had heard of the Darkness that was covering much of Disney Land. As far as he knew, it had not effected his beloved Paris yet, but he couldn't sit idly by as fair maidens and innocent men were falling.

However, as he listened in on the groups surrounding him he found he was completely lost. His bright gold armor shone in the... well... it was well polished, at least. Phoebus turned to his horse, and patted him on the rump. "Alright Achilles. I'll take it from here. I'll call ya if I need ya." The horse snorted at him again before wandering off. Phoebus, not sure what to expect, kept his hand gently resting on his sword hilt as he examined the crowd, trying to decide where to go first and with who.

Train Station

Stitch woke up from his sleep, yawning loudly as he wearily looked around the train station. He was extremely tired, because he had been forced out of his home by the Darkness, and hadn't really gotten enough sleep. Standing up, he started to teeter towards a crowd of other Disney characters, each one with their own distinct look and style, from what he could tell. However, doing anything at that moment seemed rather pointless, unless it involved a pillow, but the Darkness was nagging at Stitch's mind. He couldn't just let it get away with its plans; he would stop it, alone. But, then again, he had been stopped many times by other forces, so maybe it would be an advantage to tag-team with the other characters, who he guessed were there for the same reason he was. He continued forward, staring at all of the faces above him, wondering what he would do next.

IC: Frozone

Railroad Station, Main Street

With his chair reclined just so and a cool cup of water in his hand, Frozone sat in the back of the room where all the gathered 'heroes' discussed the next logical move regarding the encroaching 'Darkness'. Lucius took a silent sip as he listened and assessed what was being said. Appraising the gathered from behind his visor, Forzone gazed at the imposing Hun, Shan Yu was his name, who reminded him a lot of Bob. Always rushing off into action. Fozone smirked at the thought of his old friend, and for the umpteenth time, found himself feeling surprised at not to see him here. Perhaps this 'Darkness' had gotten to Bob. Lucius shuddered as if cold and shook that thought right out of his head. He was sure there was a perfect explanation for Bob's absence.

This 'Darkness', was causing a lot of trouble in different lands. It was clear now that it was a danger that showed no signs of abating, and something needed to be done about it. and fast.

This 'meeting' of heroes was supposed to be a group effort to stop the darkness, but it seemed that indecision might be an unwitting ally to said darkness.

"Why do you always have to rush off and save the world? why can't you let someone else do the 'world saving' for a change?"

Lucius stood quiet as he stared contritely at his wife. He knew what he was putting her through, how distraught she was a the thought of possibly losing him everytime he put on the blue costume.

"I....Honey, you have to understand. This 'Darkness' is no small threat. If it reaches our town...."

"But why does it always have to be you?" she wailed, then sobbed softly into her hands. Frozone sighed deeply, then moved next to her and hugged her, not letting go.

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few..." He began to say in a low voice.

"....or the one." She finished for him.

"And that's why I love you." she said tremulously, but managed to break a small smile.

Frozone looked at his wife as her tear-filled eyes looked up at him, then kissed her as if it were for the last time.

"please come back to me."

"I will." He assured her. "I promise..."

Frozone cleared his throat and his mind, bringing his focus back to the present. The hun was right. Enough waiting around; but they could not proceed without a plan. That would be courting disaster.

Shan Yu had declared that he wished to go liberate Tomorrowland, while the one called Merlin proposed that the Old Hotel should be their next objective, citing the block in the water main.

The one called Darkwing and the hulking gargoyle Goliath seemed to agree with the wizard, though it seemed Wildwing was drawn to the hun's cause.

More 'heroes' poured into the room, which Lucius took as a good sign. The opposition to the darkness was growing.

These thought prompted him to speak up.

"*Ahem...*" Frozone cleared his throat just loud enough to get everyone's attention.

"I don't mean to interrupt your conversation, but it seems to me we have two good objectives. As you can see, more heroes are joining our cause, so I say we start dividing our numbers around these two targets and balancing our ranks according to our varying abilities...."

Frozone's visored gaze regarded the room of heroes as he coolly took another drink of water from his cup, before adding: "what say you?"

IC: Genie of the Lamp
Train Station
[Mission: Tom-foolery]

Genie had watched all of this happening from his small post standing at one-sixteenth of an inch tall on top of a light fixture. The closest thing to his lost lamp that was available, and it just didn't cut it. Not to mention no Aladdin, cute little Abu, or the Rug Man around, without them it just wouldn't feel like home and not even a Genie of the Barrel could change that.

Not that he had the Genie of the Barrel or else he would have been bunking with her, but that also was not the case. Some big Hun was crying to attack Tomorrowland, a little old wizard to secure their current position, and everyone else hopping in between...well nearly everyone else.

A suggestion had just been made for two expeditions, one to each of the respective presenters. Sounded reasonable.

With a soft "Poof" and a normalizing size height he appeared next to the Hun, creating a flashing neon sign reading 'Tomorrowland' next to him.

Pulling out a micraphone and pulling a blue impression of Walter Cronkite behind a small desk, "What kind of day is it? A day like all recent days here in Disney Land, a day of oppression of children crying in the streets for a beanie cap..." a small blue child that bore a great resemblance to Genie started crying for a beanie from a small floating box before poofing out as the broadcast continued, "unable to get one. That is until this man, sinister though he may be has propossed to take on the darkness and sespit of alien technology in Tomorrowland. Who will join him in this heroic quest? For further news check your local listings."

With another soft "Poof" he vanished to reappear from a cloud of blue smoke next to the wizard as hammed up female opera singer, "This Ma-a-an has chosen to fight the darkness clearing this street and Hote-llll of all e-e-evi-vil. Who-oo-ooo-oo will join him on this noble quest, despite his sma-a-all size-and cross the stree-ee-eee-ee-et?"

A couple of light bulbs on the neon sign next to the Hun popped on the highest pitched closing notes.

Poofing another neon sign reading 'Main Str.' lit up next to him, both signs now flashing. Genie doubted anyone had not heard his local broadcasts, and eargerly awaited what would be decided this motely group of individuals.

Don Karnage
Train Station

Don Karnage, stood in an isolated corner half admiring his reflection in the blade of his sword. He was uncharacteristically uninterested in this however. A lot weighed down on the air pirates mind. He and his crew were in a position that Karnage did not appreciate. They were separated from their base in the south seas, a fog, this Darkness was so thick, so strong that it blocked off even the mighty Iron Vulture from passing through it and leaving the now seemingly forsaken parks.

So Karnage found himself forced to work with the most thrown together band of characters he'd ever witnessed, and he was a pirate, he'd witnessed odd bands of people before. Karnage wanted nothing more then to return to the Iron Vulture and leave these bafoons to their fate. But thanks to circumstances beyond his own control, Karnage was stuck with them. Their fate, would very likely be his fate. And the Prince of Pirates was not one to simply let fate take the controls and fly his plane.

Sheathing his trusty sword Karnage stepped forward into the crowd, "Ok, now yous going ta listen to me. If we are going ta do anything, we's going to have ta do it right. You cannot just run off whillynilly, doin' whatever it is you is wanting ta do and expect to come across clear skies. Yous gotta think smart, and you don't become the Prince of Pirates by bing an idiot you know? We gotta secure this town right here. We loose this place, we got nowhere ta go. We make this place safe from this here "Darkness", then you can run off to this Tamorrowland and do what you want. That said, I'm with this one with the beard an' bad taste in clothes."

IC: Jasmine

The past few days-or weeks-had been quite stressful and confusing for the beloved princess of Agrabah. As the Darkness had spread, Aladdin had told her to flee, to run, as fast as possible, that he'd be right behind her. Jasmine had complied, only to reach this station with the others. In the time she had been here, resting and waiting, Aladdin had never come.

"The Darkness, whatever it is, must've gotten him," Jasmine softly murmured to herself, at last admitting aloud what she had known for a little while. A tear trickled down her cheek, and she firmly wiped it away before more could follow.

Raising her head, she could see a small crowd of her fellow refugees gathering and discussing possible ways to fight back. Fight back? Against a force they didn't truly understand? What sort of madness was that?

"No!" Jasmine shook herself, trying to banish such thoughts. It wasn't so crazy after all-she and Aladdin and the others had fought Jafar with no inkling of the depths of his power and won, so why couldn't this Darkness be any different?

With that thought, Jasmine stood and started walking over to the group with a renewed sense of interest. As she got closer, listening to the various beings(Jasmine hadn't a clue what some of them were-talking animals? Really?), she noticed a familiar blue shape behind the battle-hardened warrior. Was it...could it be?

"Genie?" Jasmine softly asked, not wanting to call attention to herself(just yet, anyhow, and especially since she wasn't sure where she wanted to help first). All the same, she hoped he would hear her.

Clayton
Railroad Station, Main Street USA

Clayton surveyed this awkward band of brothers as he cleaned his gun. Truly, this was a strange sight, stranger even than when he'd encountered the Ape man in Africa. Why, that had just simply been a man who had lived amongst apes. Nothing about Tarzan was abnormal, biologically. He was still human, he wasn't some gorilla-man hybrid. But here, here, were truly extraordinary game. Take the two ducks, for example. Normally duck didn't interest the veteran hunter and poacher. They were too easy. A bit of shot and they fell like stones. These two, however, were as tall as a man, talked, had humanoid limbs instead of wings. Their ridiculous get-ups were of no consequence to Clayton, he could always redress them once he had them stuffed on his wall. Standing near one of them was a large, monstrous, bat like beast that just screamed to take a bullet. Furthermore was the canine humanoid. He didn't know what to make of these creatures that spoke like humans, but were very noticeably animal. The fact that they felt so safe in their surroundings, that they'd be so easy to kill here in this 'safe' haven, was what really set him off.

Blast it all if the Darkness kept him from actually following through on any of his thoughts. All he wanted so badly was to find another of these talking animals and kill it. Perhaps two, capture the other and sell it to some London circus for far more pounds sterling than he ever would've received for those stupid gorillas. This was why the prospect of Adventureland intrigued him so. Frontierland also intrigued him, with the stories of bears in the woods who could speak. Why, it seemed anywhere he looked there were animals walking and talking just like humans. Surely there would be others that he could kill and capture. Ones that had become corrupted by the Darkness. A wicked grin crossed his mouth as he watched the proceedings, yes, Adventureland would be his destination...

After dealing with securing a foothold in this land. If they could fully take Main Street, they'd have a safe haven free of the darkness. A place that they could come back to if they needed to rest, a base camp. Something that is always needed in survival situations such as they found themselves in. He had, after all, been at Fantasyland when the castle fell. He knew first hand what happened when the base fell into disarray. He'd barely made it to Main Street alive before his enemies had caught him. But he had, that was all that mattered in the grand scheme of things.

Another interesting being was making a big scene, one that didn't particularly amuse Clayton half as much as it seemed to amuse the blue one, himself. The group had begun to break into two parts. One part knew the sensible thing to do would be securing a stronghold, while the other group seemed power hungry. They obviously wished to raid the strange technology of Tomorrowland. Not that Clayton didn't think anything there would be useful, but the future world didn't interest him, hunting interested him.

Standing up, he decided to toss his own survival experience and suggestion into the mix. "I believe this old boy," he said, patting the elderly wizard upon the back, "has the right idea. I've fought in wars, as well as at the Castle in Fantasyland. I know the importance of having a secure base camp. After we have this area within our grasp, we can move onto whatever area we wish." As he finished speaking, he again surveyed the crowd, gauging reactions as well as searching for key traits he could use to his advantage later.

IC: Perry the Platypus (Agent P)

Railroad Station, Mainstreet USA

Agent P brought his sleek hovercar to a quick stop. Spryly jumping out of the vehicle, he set his sights upon the nearby building. As he made his way across the long street, Agent P wondered what the fascinating land he had just dared to enter was all about.

He was tracking Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, his arch nemesis, for Major Monogram had told the little gumshoe that the doctor was up to no good. Just moments ago, Heinz had ascended stairs leading to a railway station. This fortified building was located at the southern tip of the street.

Agent P scrambled up the steps and peered into the station while up against a wall. He was amazed by what he saw. There was Doofenshmirtz, standing in the station, but he wasn?t alone. Unique characters of all shapes and sizes surrounded the doctor, human and animal alike.

?This is another of his evil villain conventions,? Agent P thought to himself, ?isn?t it?? However, upon further inspection, he concluded that some of the individuals exuded a regality that only a brave hero could. This was no convention put together by Heinz.

Then what was it? The motley group also consisted of shady warriors that were scary beyond reason. Obviously, all of these characters, some being polar opposites, had come together for some great purpose. Agent P?s sharp instincts told him it had to do with the surrounding darkness.

With the foggy grip that the darkness had upon the surrounding land, Agent P doubted he could escape after thwarting Doofenshmirtz. The little platypus was quick to decide. He would have to join this bizarre group and help with the cause.

Not wanting to attract attention to himself, Agent P removed his fedora and took on the guise of mindless domestic pet. This way, Dr. Doofenshmirtz wouldn?t recognize him, and thus, would not yell out his name. Using his patented ?dumb? look, Perry the Platypus began to drool as he walked out to reveal himself.

As soon as Perry reached the others at the center of the station, someone dropped out from the rafters with a loud crash. The intimidating man wanted to know who had the strength to follow him. Perry waited for alternate proposals.

Next, a wizard spoke his mind. His idea was to restore the railroad by clearing a block in the water main. Perry thought that the plan was reasonable, and many of the others agreed with the conjurer as well. While listening to the discussion, Perry noticed a spaceman step out from the shadows.

Someone soon suggested that the group should split up, using varying abilities upon multiple targets. This man drank water from a cup and donned a blue uniform.

Perry the Platypus took notice of a beautiful princess trying to get a genie?s attention. The blue genie had just entertained everyone by explaining the two main options in a whimsical fashion.

Another few individuals sided with the wizard, one of them stressing the importance of securing a base camp. Perry had to agree. Restoring the railroad would give the group an advantage.

Once the group assembled to head out, Perry would don his hat again and reveal himself as a secret agent.

Basil of Bakerstreet
Station

He had followed the noises all the way towards the gathering, where several individuals had obviously gathered to discuss their future plans. One looking like a 13th century hun, Mung probably, his body telling he was an experienced warrior, planned . . . well . . . wanted to attack tomorrowland. Others talked about a Hotel. Basil decided to learn more about these strange assembly before deciding on a path to follow. Observing one by one, while trying to ignite his pipe, he made mental notes on the assembled and their knowledge about the current crisis. Which he found not to be very fruitful. Indeed.

Dawson would have been a great help, probably, but his old friend was not nearby, so he would have to take this case by himself. The Pirate spoke and brought everyone to reason. Basil knew that kind of person. A criminal. But a lesser one, compared to whom he was here to fight.

"Conclusions, Ladies and Gentlemen. Conclusions shouldn´t be done before all facts are regarded with necessary care. Securing a base. Indeed this is elemental too any successful strategy in the long run, dear friends. But so is the element of surprise." He began to walk into the middle of these people and waved around with hisw smoking pipe. "And while our enemy can easily see us trying to regain the railroads, the attack on Tomorrowland might just be the random element we need to unbalance their attack. As I see so many are willing to follow our sorcerous friend over there," He pointed his pipe to the magician, "who I have no doubt is nobody else than Merlin. Obviously." He concluded with a nod the details were all there, it was almsot to easy to see. "I shall dedicate my body and mind to our surprise attack deep into the lines of the enemy. Hun, Basil of Bakerstreet is at your service." He bowed before the Hun and turned to the others.

Actually Basil had concluded that the Hun was in greatest need of his reasonable and moderate brain. But he knew enough about Huns to show him nothing but the utmost respect.

OOC: Mitth, I love your Genie! [face_laugh]

Railroad Station, Main Street USA

As Shan Yu had expected, many of the strange creatures and spirits around him did not have a warrior's courage. They talked of securing a base camp. They did not talk of conquest. They talked as if they had lost already, and were simply dividing up what remained to them.

Of the many who arrived and emerged from the shadows, only two pledged their allegiance to Shan Yu's cause. They seemed to be magical spirits, and were most likely sent by Hunnic ancestors to assist in the fight. Shan Yu was not the sort of man to reject the aid of the supernatural. If the ancestors favoured him, he would use their power to make the darkness bow.

"Warrior Duck and Great Mouse," he said to his new comrades, giving each a hearty thump on the back, "we will test ourselves together against the strongest armies of the darkness. Three is enough, but perhaps there is someone else here who wishes to take the fight to our enemy."

Once again he strode into the center of the room, and this time openly singled out the beings he wanted with him.

"You, soldier," he growled, pointing to a blonde-haired man in golden armour. "I saw your beast come with you before. I respect a skilled horseman. Join us."

He then turned to the odd apparition that had flashed up beside him moments earlier, bringing the flashing signs into existence.

"Blue Demon," said Shan Yu, clearly in awe of the being's power, "your magicks would guarantee us victory in Tomorrowland. Ally yourself with us."

Mulan sat quiet on one of the few chairs left standing from those that had been tipped over and pushed against the walls to make room for the escaping people...and animals. It was, needless to say, quite the scene to Mulan, so she continued to sit silent, only half listening to the conversation surrounding her.

Keeping her hands busy and trying to focus thoughts away from her home and family, Mulan set about patching up the leather shoulder armor. While sewing up the split edge, the apperance of a new comer caught her attention. She stared over her shoulder in shock. Shan Yu. He spoke up about taking Tomorrowland as a surprise to the Darkness, their current enemy. Their enemy. How odd. Was the Hun really...fighting with them?

It was then that a short, old man brought up the idea of heading to the hotel and taking it back. Even if it weren't for Shan Yu, Mulan would have still decided to travel to the hotel, but he made it even easier for her to decide. There was no way she would be working with him.

Mulan kept her silence, even as Shan Yu moved through the escapees from the Darkness, searching for more helpers to his plan. She kept her back to him. When it came time to leave, she would then join with the group planning to take the hotel. There would be no way she would just sit around when she could help with the battle against the Darkness.

The Horned King
Train Station, Main Street

"Quite the assemblage of characters, wouldn't you say, sire?" the extremely short goblin asked, taking great care to properly balance the large, ebony cauldron he bore on his back. His companion, a tall, lanky figure cloaked in red, horns protruding through his hood, did not reply. Instead, he turned to regard the others with his glowing red eyes as they began filing up to attack different "strategic" areas. A large one, Hun by the look of him, was organizing a party to raid Tomorrowland.

Bah! Tomorrowland. Full of fancy technological nick-knacks that mattered little in a world where magical powers reigned supreme. The wizard, at least, had a look of understanding about him, as he began organizing a raid on the old hotel. But the figure in red had no desire to be subservient to what struck him as one of inferior magical talents. He merely had to regard the fop to conclude that the wizard had no real ambition. There were two kinds of people in this world - those who sought power and those too foolish to seek it, and this fellow was definitely the latter.

No, the Horned King, for that was what they called him, decided to pursue a third course, one that seemed entirely more at home to him. It was also possible that the prevalent walking dead in the area held some clue as to the Cauldron's recent drop in effectiveness. "Creeper... we go to reclaim the great River in New Orleans Square. I am confident in my ability to handle the task alone, but why not fetch some subjects to keep you company?" It was a particularly win-win situation for the Horned King - either he reclaimed the river on his own and began staking out a claim for himself, or he had some convenient shields to throw in harm's way... aside from Creeper, of course.

"Yess, sire!" Creeper quipped, before turning to address the crowd. "His eminence, the Horned King, shall make his way to the River of America. Those who wish to follow him and curry his favor now while they still can may do so."

Railroad Station, Main Street

"No need to fear my dear Hun! Syndrome is here to help you to pry Tomorrow Land away from the wicked, retched blackness that has claimed this fair land."

Frozone almost chocked and spat out the water he had been sipping, but thankfully he did not, managing a mild cough instead.

Everyone's attention had turned to Syndrome, thus no one saw, at least as far as Frozone could tell, his dark eyes narrow dangerously behind his visored gaze, or how the cup of water had frozen over, then crushed to snowy powder under his closing fist.

"Syndrome..." Frozone said in a low voice. His tone was definitely unwelcoming, and frosty vapor escaped his lips as he spoke the villain's name. This was a dastardly creature who stooped as low as threatening the welfare of children. Didn't anyone here read the papers?

Not wishing to sour the occasion, Frozone simply remained silent, but alert to any possible signs of foul play. He for one, was under the belief that this villain was probably under the influence of the darkness, or would soon be, given his character. How would he warn the others that Syndrome was probably still posing as a 'hero', just as he'd done in the past. If Bob were here, he would not have bothered with a warning, he would have simply gone ahead and.....

Frozone took a deep breath, then sighed and shook his head. Bob was not here, none of the others were. It was just him. It was hard enough to remain confident in the face of that implication. Now this....

In his mind, Frozone had already decided to aid the wizard, tough he had not voiced his decision, now it was a certainty. If the adventurers to Tomorrowland should fail, or be themselves corrupted, then establishing a stronghold was imperative.

These thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of another disagreeable character. What turned Frozone's stomach was that the horned creature in red had a servant, or rather a slave. Most disagreeable indeed. What was that thing on the small one's back anyway?

"His eminence, the Horned King, shall make his way to the River of America. Those who wish to follow him and curry his favor now while they still can may do so."

Frozone wrinkled his nose in silent displeasure. No, he would not be accompanying the new arrivals. To underscore his unspoken decision, he got up from his chair and walked over to stand near the wizard, then folded his arms across his chest. That should make things more obvious.

And now it seemed everyone was already taking sides, which in a way, was a good thing, assuming everyone here was on the same page as far as the darkness was concerned. Either way, things were beginning to move pretty fast now, and soon it would be time to depart and take the fight to the real enemy. Frozone's only hope was that the darkness would be defeated before folks started turning on each other.

No, don't think like that. At least not yet.

Train Station
[Mission:...Galore!]

Well this was more like it, the old man was garnering enough sympathy with his plight of crossing main street that he would be able to walk safely. Whilst the Hun looked to be fairly desolate in followers, only garnering two that stood by him. He was about to start another pitch when a small sound, no bigger than a gnat reached his ear, buzzing, burning, and itching his ear grew twice the size of his head as held a hand up.

Someone said Genie, someone here, and it was...familiar somehow. A long dead master? An...undead Master? Eww! he hoped not, the last one wasn't that much of a looker even before being raised. Or maybe it was...

Turning his head as his body floated up he looked around, spotting a very familiar sapphire blue headband, the Princess Jasmine! "Oooh! Jasmine!" Loudly poofing next to her he elbowed a little room, "Ah, come here give us a hug!" embracing her tightly he continued speaking, "Why I'm so happy I could kiss a platypus! Mmmmmwa!" Reaching down he picked up a green one that happened to be walking through and planted a big wet one on the cheek.

"Ugh, platypus milk sweat, no wonder they stick with selling cows milk. I'm so glad you made it, where's Al?" Lifting her up in the embrace he started turning about in place looking for that most cherished little street urchins. Though it quickly dawned on him.

Al wasn't here, the rug man neither. Setting her down gently his body reformed natural legs, "Oh, sweety I'm so sorry. Buck up though kiddo, we'll get him back." His voice dipped low, and soft. He didn't know if he believed in what he was selling but he gave a weak smile anyway. That's when he heard the big loud mouth Hun call on a Blue Demon, looking around with a quick glance he realized the finger was pointed this way. Another broke in then and then another. "Cheer up kid." he spoke lastly he bumped up the bottom of her chin.

With a soft Poof he and Jasmine stood in-front of the Hun, Genie taking on the form of a little old elderly woman with a wand in her hands, "Now look here tall dark and sinister, this is a Princess wearing Blue. Not a Demon, true it's a bold statement that not even most fairy godmothers can pull off, but it's no white after labor day. She'll decide." He meant it too, wherever the Princess went now he was sure to follow. After all she was Al's one in a million years, not to mention someone broke whatever mold she came out of eons ago.

Genie, looking over the rim of her glasses as the form changed to an old grannies, and hrumphed at the latest cape wish gone wrong, "And as for you sonny didn't your mother ever teach you to use your indoor voice? If your going to go out in your jamies ranting don't forget to take your medicine, don't want your syndrome getting any worse now dearie." With that and a small poof infront of the man a spoon full of ipecac appeared.

With that he settled down again next to Jasmin. A little bit of his own real glow creeping back into himself.

Merlin was quite pleased in the response to his plan. They now had a sizable Force to retake the Hotel. "Well thank you all for your vote of confidence. I believe we should proceed to the Hotel and vanquish the darkness from our lands."

"Oh Merlin, finally we get to some action. I do hope there is some violence involved!" Mim seemed positively giddy. She loved games, and what greater game was there then survival, especially when others were the prey.
"Lets get going."

Main Street Train Station

Along a wall in the dark recesses of the train station, a lion paced up and down.

Up and down, up and down ... his large paws made no noise as he prowled along the length of the wall, the silence belying the power contained in his frame. Under ordinary circumstances, a lion pacing up and down in a train station would be cause for concern (or at least curiosity) - but these were not ordinary circumstances, and this was no ordinary lion. This was Simba, the Lion King, and he was here for a purpose.

He was not the only one. Around him, others were milling around and talking and forming teams to retake their kingdom, piece by piece. Simba paid them no attention. Nobody had mentioned retaking Adventureland, so far, and that was where he wanted to go.

For that was where Scar was.

I thought I killed you, uncle mine, Simba thought, but I suppose evil never dies.

He would probably not be able to face Scar just yet, though. Knowing his uncle, Scar was nestled deep in Adventureland surrounded by a host of his hyena lackeys. Still: he could make a start of it, and work his way steadily towards his goal.

So Simba turned and leapt out into the open, where everyone else stood. "I will go to Adventureland," the Lion King announced. "Anyone who wishes to join me may follow."

Not waiting to see how this was received, he turned and padded silently towards the exit.

Clayton
Railroad Station, Main Street USA

More animals seemed to be coming out of the woodwork of the train station. Some speaking, others not. The strangest looking was some odd creature that appeared to be some kind of idiotic platypus that was making its way through the area. Though it showed a particular interest in the old man. Clayton had no doubt this creature was able to talk and was just putting on some kind of act. Oh well, the more the merrier. Though the mission was beginning to crowd, at least they might make it to Adventureland faster.

The next animal to speak up was a mouse dressed oddly, why, it almost reminded Clayton of the description of that detective in that short story he'd just read while last in London. Sherlock Holmes or something. And just like that detective, this mouse seemed to think that only he could be correct about his deductions. At least he'd thrown his small hat in with the Hun and not with Clayton. He'd hated to have become annoyed and accidentally laid out a mouse trap.

Speaking of the Hun, obviously everyone heading away from him and towards the old man had angered him considerably, as he called out to the bravery of those around him, then started making demands. He demanded that a man in golden armor join him, as well as demanding that magical blue oaf to join his cause. Blue oaf...now that Clayton was able to take a second look at him, he seemed strangely familiar to another story that he'd read. While not identical, the basic look was the same, as well as the clothing that he recognized from his travels.

If that wasn't enough, the blue oaf made its way to what could only be described as an elegant Arabian woman. That the two seemed to know each other only helped Clayton deduce their identities. This was strange indeed, a mouse that pretended to be a character from a short story that had barely left the printing press, and two characters from the Arabian Nights. Perhaps those two would be easy to persuade to join him in taking Adventureland. After all, he'd heard rumors that Adventureland not only housed jungle, but also the Arabian sections of this area.

More and more people began to noticeably take sides. The arrival of a strange and ungly fellow asking for servitude to New Orlean's Square only seemed to agitate many in the room. Another man in spandex showed up, allying himself with the Hun. But what happened next truly interested Clayton beyond all other happenings in the room. A lion, a lion, majestic in its appearance as a true monarch, launched into the area and announced, "I will go to Adventureland, Anyone who wishes to join me may follow." And like a true monarch, he did not wait for answers, instead turned and left the station.

Clayton took a deep grin, this beast seemed as though it was on a mission. Perhaps there were more such as it in Adventureland, some that he could kill and stuff. Turning to Merlin, he patted the elderly gentleman on the back. "Sorry, old boy, I'd love to join you in your matter of setting up the base camp, but something far more...interesting,"his face became a long toothy grin at that last word, "just came up. You understand, nothing personal."

With that said, he slung his gun over his shoulder and began to walk out. "I also head towards Adventureland. I've always enjoyed the jungle, and have especially looked forward to visiting the Arabian nations." he added that last part deliberately and loudly, hoping to entice the two novel characters into joining himself and the lion. Other than that, he followed outside the station.

Villain Update

IC: The Darkness
Location: Main Street USA, Hotel, Locked Upper Room

Inside the Main Street Hotel was a being. A being of darkness. He was formed of the Darkness, the thick black fog that coated and warped all of Disneyland. In some way, he created himself really. All the Darkness was one. Each cell was a copy of the one progenitor. Every feel, every experience, every triumph and victory to any one of the Darkness was shared by everyone. It was one, and yet it was legion.

This mage was formed to watch over Main Street. It was a watcher, self-confined in this upper room. Here it could monitor the comings and goings of this boring little land. There were little things to corrupt here, like there were in the other lands. This wraith's job was three fold. One, to watch over the small enclave of heroes that had barricaded themselves into the train station in the South. Two, to keep the water pipes clamped to disable said train. And three, to guard over the land-gem of Main Street USA.

The being looking down at this prize. It was a stone, with a carved flag in it. One of the seven locks on the infernal door that kept the Darkness bound in that insufferable prison. It could not fall into enemy hands, and it was to stay away from the Mansion.

The wraith could feel the stone's power. It was brimming with the essence of what once was this land. Vibrancy, hope, welcome, stoicism. If it were to fall into the hands of someone whose heart was pure, all this would roar back to life, and instantly reverse the progress the darkness had made in this area of the park. So long as it belonged to the Darkness, the stone was useless. In fact, more than useless, it was detrimental. The gem could be corrupted, just like any other thing. Vibrancy to dullness, hope to despair, welcome to hostility, stoicism to fear.

It could feel no disturbances. The fog was still, untroubled. All was well. He could see the entrance to the hotel under him, pouring out fog into the open street. He was a spring of the Darkness.

The Darkness was not like most beings. It did not get tired. Or bored. Or anxious. The being just stood. And watched. And waited.

It was amazing. The creature called the Darkness, it did all of this. So much more than she was ever able to accomplish herself. It had brought together all of the clan, from the Queen of Hearts to the pirate captain Barbossa, and had given them dominion over each of the lands.

Her steely gaze drifted over to the green gem on the tip of her staff. It was that same point that worried her. It was that it could do so much, that it did could not be done by any of the villains, and so easily too. But how and why? If there was one thing Maleficent knew, it was evil. And she knew to keep an eye on those who had the power to oppose her. On those that seemed to powerful to be true. She would not become a pawn to this mysterious creature.

Suspiciously on cue, Diablo cawed, and she could see a creature materializing out of the black fog the Darkness used to express itself. From the mound of fog, a black hooded wraith stepped forward, a favorite form of the creature.

"Mistress, we have captured another renegade trying to flee Fantasyland"

So long as the Darkness still called her Mistress, and obeyed her whim, Maleficient was happy to play along. The cruel woman smiled.

"Is that so? Who, praytell, was it?"

Maleficent smiled happily. That was a good catch. Cinderella was a pure, but weak woman. A dreamer and a fool. It would be a pleasure to wipe such beauty and good away from t

Merlin set off from the Rail Station with Mim. Merlin mused over the reality of the company he kept. Mim had been a pain in his beard for the longest time. She was a cruel, vile, and morbid witch, that is until she disappeared from the woods around London. After her return Merlin had noticed that she had changed. She was still morbid, but the vile evilness that had permeated her had disappeared, and Merlin had found it pleasant to have a acquaintance that could keep up with him magically.

He shook himself out of his introspective. He was across the street from the Hotel, the Darkness was rolling out of the front door. Hmmm curious.... The rolling fog was an unnecessary waste of energy. One of two possibilities were likely; either the Darkness just had so much power that it was not a noticeable waste, or it was a trap.

?I suggest we avoid the main entrance.?

?I suggest we avoid the main entrance.?

?I agree.?
She looked the Hotel up and down. ?I'll check it out.? With in a few heart beats Mim had transformed into a large purple condor. She beat her massive wings and lifted off the ground soaring across the street, above the Darkness, to a second story window and landing on the sill. Mim looked through the window to see if things were clear, it wouldn't do to have someone in the room when she entered.

Railroad Station / Hotel, Mainstreet USA

?Why I'm so happy I could kiss a platypus!? the eccentric blue genie exclaimed. He then proceeded to pick up an unsuspecting Perry the Platypus and planted a rather moist kiss upon his cheek. ?Mmmmmwa!"

Perry struggled to get free, but a mindless domestic pet couldn?t break the hold of a being with phenomenal cosmic powers. When the genie released him, Perry just let loose his patented growl and continued walking.

The genie spoke again. "Ugh, platypus milk sweat, no wonder they stick with selling cows milk.? Perry rolled his eyes at the comment. Who did this guy think he was anyway? The furry little platypus thought of Candace back home at Danville. She would always make comments like that.

Once he was sure that the princess and genie had lost interest, Perry stood up and wiped the slobber from his cheek with one arm. Disgusting! The little green platypus wanted nothing more than to become Agent P once again. Perhaps then he?d get some respect.

The wizard made an announcement. "Well thank you all for your vote of confidence. I believe we should proceed to the Hotel and vanquish the darkness from our lands." Perry certainly agreed with the man. He would have to become Agent P soon, if he wanted to follow the conjurer?s group to the hotel.

Perry the Platypus noticed a male human hunter eyeing him suspiciously. Did this man with the rifle know Perry?s true identity? It looked as if the hunter knew that Perry was putting on an act. Well, Perry would make sure to avoid the man when turning back into Agent P.

Now Perry turned his attention back to Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. His nemesis wasn?t acting particularly evil. He hadn?t done anything yet. Heinz just stood there, at the center of the railroad station, surrounded by all the others. Perry thought about this. Was it okay to leave for the hotel before foiling the doctor?s evil plans? He decided that it would be fine. Doofenshmirtz wouldn?t be able to escape this strange land without Perry?s help anyway.

Taking out his brown fedora, Perry looked over at the wizard. The pensive man was heading out. Perry placed the hat upon his furry head, becoming Agent P. Then, a small snippet of his theme song could be heard. Where it came from, nobody knew.

Agent P followed the wizard?s group out of the railroad station and up the street to the hotel. The ominous darkness was spilling out of the front door. The wizard spoke up. ?I suggest we avoid the main entrance.? Agent P nodded his agreement. This could most certainly be a trap.

It was time for Agent P to utilize his jet pack. He fired it up and prepared to launch.

Blasting upwards, Agent P flew across the street and landed atop the hotel. His decision was to stakeout the roof. Perhaps he could spot an alternate entrance.

IC as Fa Mulan

It was time to move out. Mulan quickly finished fixing the torn side of her leather shoulder armor and reattached it to the chest piece. She then held up her helmet and slid it over her head, covering her black hair that was tied back with her ribbon. After checking over her sword, the one taken from her father, the young woman stood and followed after the group who were heading to the hotel in Main Street USA.

The journey there was a tense one, but uneventful. Though the old hotel begged the differ. It had obviously been taken over by their enemy, called the Darkness, and if it wasn't the ominous feeling the building gave off, it was the odd fog floating along the ground from the main door that sent Mulan on edge. Her hand brushed across the cool metal hilt of her sword, her body readying itself for danger.

It was then that the old man spoke up to the group, ?I suggest we avoid the main entrance.? and the woman at his side used some sort of magic to turn herself into a condor, taking flight. She went up to the second floor and landed at the window, peering in. Though Mulan had wanted to watch her, hoping to get a judgement of what was inside by her reaction to either something or nothing, but instead turned her dark eyes to her surroundings, uneasily. This place was once filled with light and happiness, but now it could hardly be recognizable.

As she considered the different options, Jasmine felt torn. On one hand, it seemed a sensible idea to retake the hotel, whatever that was, and expand their base, but on the other, to take back one of the various lands would be just as sensible, if not possibly better. There was something about the Hun that seemed disturbing, so she quickly ruled out heading to Tomorrowland with him. And even debating going with the nightmare of a creature that called himself the Horned King was out of the question. Jasmine didn't care how powerful he might be, he did not seem trustworthy...which left only one option. And no matter how she equally disliked the looks of the man who appeared to be a hunter, it seemed the best of the choices.

"Follow me," she told Genie, heading after the man Clayton. "Sir, wait!"

As they quietly but quickly headed to the exit he had recently departed from, Jasmine explained her reasoning to Genie. "He said the Arabian nations. There's a possibility that Aladdin and Carpet may be there, and we could use his street skills against this Darkness."

Not to mention you would love to see him again,a nagging little voice inside her head mocked. In response to this, Jasmine shook her head, attempting to rid such a thought. True, she did want to find her love, but he really would be useful. There was no telling what the Darkness would throw at them, and the more skills they had to use against it, the better.

Speaking of skills...

As they passed the corner where Jasmine had recently been sitting, a large tiger sprang up and padded over to them. It nuzzled against Jasmine's hand, hoping for a scratch or a pet.

"Yes, Rajah, we're going now," Jasmine smiled at him, then back at the Genie. "Are you ready?" The tiger growled in response, walking slightly ahead to protect his mistress.

What a group, Jasmine thought, feeling slightly confident. A skilled hunter, an all-powerful genie, a talking lion, an equally fierce tiger, and a princess barely trained for combat. Still, impossible odds made for good chances.
