Inty's Quarter-Team Brakdowns
As always, these are teams ranked from least likely to most likely to win. As always, these have no cash value, and are not valid in Hawaii or Guam. And, more so than usual, these have no actual bearing, because I'm just the commish and back-up judge, and not a full-time judge. But, I thought you guys might want to get some breakdowns, so ...

8. -Ace-

Mr. Majestic, Ion (Sodam Yat), Superman, Cable

The Good: Lots of bases covered here. Majestic brings great strength and leadership, as does Superman. Cable also brings leadership, is a prep god, and has decent TK/TP. Ion just brings a ton of party to the power.

The Bad: A couple of reach picks. Superman went before some other similar characters who are overall better (in a one-on-one fight), Majestic went a touch early, and as much as I love Cable, I think 4th round in an 8 GM pool is too early. Ion is a bit of an unknown, so you?ll have your work cut out with arguments there, too.

Overall: A nice team. Just not stacked too well against the powerhouse teams that await you. But, there?s plenty of time and plenty of picks for them to mess up and you to capitalize.

7. MandaloreYak

Onslaught (First Form Only), Cassandra Nova Xavier, Juggernaut, Magneto

The Good: First, you know I love theme teams. And the theme for this team is awesome so far. And it?s hard to argue against Onslaught, who is just pure beast, and CNX, who has been underrated beast so far.

The Bad: Juggernaut and Magneto were reaches that early in an 8 GM pool. Still puzzled as to taking Juggernaut over Doomsday, and not sure why Magneto went that high. I mean, I?m high on the guy (and we all know minch is, too), but there was a lot of quality on the board still.

Overall: You?ve still got a lot of options on the board, and so perhaps Magneto and Juggs early is to keep them away from hero teams, as you?re certain Shurron will avoid certain villains that could fit nicely into your team. An interesting strategy, and if it works, you?re rating will skyrocket. And, if it doesn?t ? well, at least you made it to the All-Star draft. That?s more than most of us can say.

6. Axle-Starweilder

X-Man, The Hulk (Green Scar Version), Martian Manhunter, Dr. Doom

The Good: Just an amazing top three. And, throw in the fourth and you?ve got just about everything covered: Strength, TK/TP, Prep, tech, magic ... everything. And, you have plenty of options to build with.

The Bad: Dr. Doom was a bit of a headscratcher. Not horrible by any means, just a bit ... out of place.

Overall: A very impressive team. There are just a couple of teams a bit more impressive.

5. Marcusp2

Beta Ray Bill, Dr. Fate, Professor X, Sentinel (Alan Scott)

The Good: You?ve got top notch magic in Fate (who I love), top notch power in Bill, and a great green lantern, as well as one of the top psionics on the board. Hard to argue with a starting nucleus like that. Plus, they?ve all got good connections on the board to build a cohesive team around.

The Bad: Not much, except Xavier might have gone a touch soon. But, again, there aren?t that many top-notch psionics on the board, so maybe not.

Overall: Again, a great start with a great chance to move up with those connections getting fleshed out.

4. Zizz

Thor, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Orion, Captain Atom

The Good: A couple of gods, the greatest Green Lantern, and a guy argued over Spawn. What a top-four. Not much to say beyond that, honestly.

The Bad: Missing some magic, tech, and psionics, but that?s nothing you can?t fix later.

The Ugly: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Ryan! and the such.

Overall: Fantastic job so far, a team to watch out for.

3. EmpireForever

Spawn (Hellspawn), Phoenix (Rachel Summers), Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Nimrod

The Good: Ther

it's funny, i had flash as the first on my list, and black adam as second. i suppose it's obvious who was my third. i figured lobo'd make a good soggy-bottom boy. he goes with what my team is trying to accommplish. and i, like marcus before me, was also under the impression that we were drafting fewer rounds. so we draft for 16 and play 12? is that the idea then?
