This is going into the Hypothetical, but if you were to be given a TV Science Fiction show, who'd you want to star in it?

My top choices for a leading cast:

Jamie Bamber (Currently in Battlestar Galactica)
Michael Shanks (Currently in Stargate SG-1)
Ben Browder (Currently in SG-1, Farscape)
    Corin Nemec (Was in SG-1)
    Wayne Pygram (Farscape, Star Wars)
Grace Park (Currently in Battlestar Galactica)
    Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Stargate SG-1)
    Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity)
    Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Serenity)
    Summer Glau (Firefly, Serenity)
    Lexa Doig (Andromeda)
    Evangeline Lilly (LOST)
    Terry O'Quinn (Alias, LOST)
    Greg Grunberg (Alias)

Probably too much for a regular cast.

great idea, but personally I prefer to see new talent in a new show. Gives you the chance to believe them in that role, rather than constantly get flash backs of their previous work.

I'd have an sci-fi show with Ian Mackellen, he's a great actor. Possibly along with Brian Blessed too, and the Olsen Twins for shock value.

Great pool of talent there. Adam Baldwin's so awesome, he's on there twice. :p

Just off the top of my head, I'd have to throw in James Marsters in there somewhere. He's way too cool. And on the more underrated side of things, there's Connor Trinneer, who I thought was excellent on Enterprise. He also did a great job on Stargate: Atlantis recently.

Very true, and new talent is really good - I mean, look at LOST.

But one thing that I've noticed is the degree in which actors move between shows. A number of the b cast for Galactica have been on Stargate at least once or twice, or in other SciFi shows. there's a large amount of moving around, which is really interesting.

yeh, the b-listers were common in TNG too - they often appeared in multiple episodes as different characters :)

I'd like to see Chris Barrie do something serious, and away from RD and BE.
He's done some documentary work (mega machines), but I think he'd suit a serial killer role in a thriler.

Also, his voice work (Spitting Image etc) is unbelievable, so he's obviously talented.

I agree. Now he's getting on in years he could, with the right role, easily pull away from everything he's associated with.

Robert Picardo and Hugo Weaving together would be good. They should do a two handed play together.

    EDIT: Waiting for Godot!

Bill Hurt needs to do more sci-fi - he's an awesome actor too
