Maybe even zombies are afraid of the mighty ban stick? [face_worried]

Then, of course, if you bring in people posting at 3am who aren't normally accoustomed to being up at that time... :D

So, how is everyone? Any exciting news? I spoke to Terry Gilliam on the phone today, but that's about it... [face_whistling]

That would be a moose, not a mousse... :p

[face_thinking] Still, I think you might have a plan there, Richie...

*Stuffs the excess brains into said moose* There we go - no one will ever find them now. I can continue to use my evil powers to destroy the boards! Mwahahah! [face_devil]

(Well, after I've had my 1 hour lie-in tomorrow, anyway...) :D

    I stand corrected.

    that reminds me;

I was watching telly a few months back and there was an advertisement for the national lottery rollover yadayada. the advert ended with "What would you do with 10 million pounds?". the following advert then started with "SPAM UP"! ( Not something I would do if I won the lottery, but I thought it was genius non-the-less)

    How is everyone, then?

That is complete genius :D Were they two unrelated adverts? (One for the lottery and one for SPAM, I presume?)

And I am well, thankee Orn - and yourself? :)

Does anyone else think that things have been a little quiet lately? And not just here, but board-wide? I'm guessing this is what the Uni drought felt like :(

Blackpool? I've never been, but I can't say it's on my places to visit list, I'm afraid! :p

I'd much rather go to Cornwall/Devon/Scotland or, if we're talking outside the UK... Canada! Or Spain. Or even New Zealand... Ok, so the list is endless :D

Things are much the same as usual, although I *may* finally have found a permanent job as an animator (which makes a nice change from packing boxes of perfume... :p ).

Anyway - hope you and your girlfriend have a great time in Blackpool :)

*Orders a round of drinks for any and all lurkers* :p

Got a new PC (evetually) and am enthusiastic about it, even though it seems a bit shakey at the moment.
But I'm sure it's something I've done rather then the system itself.

I have virusy stuff in my chest, so my breathing rivals Darth Vader's at the moment, my Xbox is posessed by a friendly ghost, my hiding cushion has gotten good usage tonight from my watchign Dead Set, and David Tennant is leaving Doctor Who. Oh, and I have the song Pinball Wizard stuck in my head.

    Not much else to report.

Richie: Let me guess... It runs Vista? :p I have to run that gauntlet soon - need a PC that will run Adobe CS4 comfortably  (Any suggestions would be welcome!)

Twinky: Er... Well... You certainly have a mixed bag there! :p

[:D] for the virusy stuff. Hope you feel better soon :)

I'd be intrigued to see the possessed Xbox - what is wrong with it?

I think we should have a minute silence in mourning of the [hopefully] passing [insanity] of David Tennant... @};-

Pinball Wizard? Am I showing my ignorance by admitting I haven't heard of it?

I'm glad to say that my new PC is running swimmingly.

If I wanted to convert a 90min AVI to DVD on my old PC, it would be an overnight job (ie about 6 hours).

My new PC does it in 20 minutes [face_plain]

Shiny new computer [face_hypnotized] *Steals hal's PC* :p

Just out of curiosity, what are the specs on your machine, hal? And where did you purchase it from?

    Quad-core
    8GB Ram
1GB GFX card (with slot for 2nd SLI thingy)

    Got it from www.palicomp.co.uk

Well, technically I got it from one of their ebay sales so got it cheaper. But they're still very good.

My posessed Xbox. It is a tale to tell and the telling of the tale shall be told.

I bought The Force Unleashed and I played it and enjoyed it. But darkness swept across that enjoyment, for arrive home one day I did, and was told by my brother that the game no longer worked, and a cricular scratch there was upon it. Everything was tried, from cleaning the disc, to deleting all the data to do with the game from my Xbox. DVDs and other games worked fine.
And so my brother gave me money to buy a new copy. And buy a copy I did, but this one too would not work. So all did seem lost.
I called upon the Xbox repair people, and tell me did they that the cost would be sixty of the English pounds to repair the Xbox. I called them a second time to arrange the repair, but the man, he could not understand my tale and so asked me to place the scratched disc in the Xbox and describe what had happened. So place the disc in the Xbox I did.......AND IT WORKED!!!! As did the second disc that was bought.
Nothing had been done to it, even a few times it had said a disc was unreadable and once I saw upon the front of my Xbox the Red Ring of Death (which according to legend means the end of an Xbox) although this was resolved with resetting the console. But work once more The Force Unleashed (both discs) does.
And so dear friends what else can be concluded from this event? Only that a friendly gaming ghost (or elf, it might be an elf) took pity on me and now resides in my Xbox, helping it run smoothly.

And that is the end of my tale
