Are we talking academic writing, or writing for writing's sake? If you do mean academic writing, then:

    You. Are. Insane. :p

Well status report, I missed the deadline for those essays I was writing last week. By three minutes. I have to hand them in tomorrow, along with 1500 words on the movie SuperSize Me.

AND I have a presentation on Holocaust documentry on friday.

This weekend I am visiting home and am just chilling, reading the least mind-engaging novel I can find, and playing Wii.

That sucks :( [:D] Wouldn't they just let you hand it in anyway? Three minutes isn't much really...

Hope you manage to get it all done though :)

As for the most mind-numbing novel, might I suggest: 'Remind Me Again Why I Need A Man' by Claudia Carroll. It requires absolutely no brain power (and before I get into trouble, it isn't as sexist as it sounds... :p ). But if it's not chick lit you're after, then I'm afraid I'm all out on the no-brains department :p

Whatever you do, don't read Appleseed by John Clute. That made my head hurt... [face_worried]

And is it really bad that I want to spam/derail some threads to increase my post count from 995 to 1,000?

Ooo - look at that! Only another 4 to go! [face_dancing] :D

    And this is post 1,000! [face_dancing] [face_dancing] [face_dancing]

    [face_alien_1] [face_pig] [face_chicken] [face_pumpkin] [face_good_luck] [face_cow] [face_monkey]

Everyone can have a drink on me :D

Now I shall stop inadvertently spamming/posting three times in a row... [face_whistling]

    So, how is everyone? :)

    Well done Kira.

Personally I'm good. Same old same old. Am starting on a sewing project the, hopefully, successful results of which I will post on here when finished.

Am also going to see a friend's play tonight. A play which I'm not glad I didn't get into due to the events of last week.

    Thanks Twinky :)

How did all the hand-ins go, by the way? And how goes the presentation prep?

Ooo - sewing project? Whatcha making? And hope you enjoy the play :)

Well I got it all in eventually. The presentation goes well, am attempting to have few notes as the tutor like it when we make lots of eye contact and don't look at pieces of paper all the time. As long as I can babble something relevent about archival footage and reconstructions I'll survive.

Play was good, as for the sewing project I can't reveal details just in case the person who will receive it stumbles across this thread, I'll be happy to tell you in PM though.

Oh, and I might have to save the world from space dogs driving giant metal spiders later, so if you guys hear any explosions I've got it under control.

I'm not entirely sure where this should go as there's no thread here about the code update, but here goes....

Has anyone else got the same problem that where it says 'Logged in as:....' it doesn't display your username? (Ok, so it's not vital, but it's a bit disturbing being told that I don't exist here :p )

Guy can someone help? I was tidying up my laptop by deleting softwares etc that I rarely use and I deleted a couple of things like the audio off my laptop ( but I got that back) however I also deleted some sorta 'syncroniser' thing (which for example if you click and drag a box, the movement isn't smooth whatsoever it moves across very static. the same when you scroll down an internet page). Not a blooming clue how to get it back :(
