The Empire preserves order, creating a safer way of life for the galaxy's citizens. Without the Empire, there would be unmanaged and uncontrolled chaos.
The Imperial Star Fleet is the Emperor's most potent weapon in this struggle against disaster. The fleet protects the Empire from those who would destroy it. The fleet restores law on worlds under the sway of the criminal Rebellion; it destroys Rebel cells and subversive groups, bolsters besieged Imperial governers, eliminates smugglers and pirates, and protects outlying worlds from attacks by hostile aliens. It is not an easy mission, but it is the most worthy endeavor I can imagine.
The Navy acts to correct the mistakes of the past and cure the ills that were allowed to spread while the Old Republic collapsed. The Old Republic had its place - long ago, in a different era - but the Empire is the only way to restore the glories of the past and preserve our ancient and enlightened civilization.
WELCOME TO THE EMPIRE!!!

I'm not too sure what to say about this thread, except that is probably does not belong in here and will be re-directed to the Classic Triolgy forum or just locked. ;)

You see if the Empire had a hold of you then the Rebel Scum would have not influenced you to protest against this posted topic.
[raises a toast with "H" and "Spoiler"]
Ahhh... victory.
How did the Emperor become so powerful?
Since the Emperor's rise to power occured during the height of the Jedi Knights, it's a safe bet that Palpatine will appear and show his true craftiness. How blind the Jedi are... running, tails between their legs, no parents to turn to for emotional support. Jedi is out and Sith is in. [knocks on the door] Oh, hello reality... come inside, take a load off.
Grand Moff Tarkin TOLD US in "A.N.H." that the Emperor had just dissolved the Senate and given Governers direct control of their sectors. If that was the end of the Old Republic Senate right there, he must have been climbing in power for years. You can bet he'll show up as some kind of true power in E.P. III. Tarkin's update on the Senate also suggests that the change of "Republic" to "Empire" is a recent one. The government in the prequels may be presented as a good government with corrupt elements, rather than a completely oppressive entity.
WELCOME TO THE EMPIRE!

The empire provides millions of jobs constructing weapons of total destruction and manning star destroyers. They provide more jobs than the millions of people they kill with their Death Machines. The Alderaaners had it coming to them any way.

I am a little bit miffed by this thread? Is it serious, it is social? I'm not quite sure, to be honest. At the rate that the thread is progressing, it sure seems to be a social thread. This board already has many social threads. We do not need anymore. If this is a serious thread, and anyone feels that it would be worthwhile to keep it open, please drop me a PM. :)

 Mace Windy,
yes, there is a draft in here!
