the emporer's throne room

    is the emperor?s throne room part of the death star's superstructure or is it atop that antenna-tower looking thing we see in one of the aerial shots?

    It's the tower.

    Notice it's similar to the Jedi Temple in the PT. Lucas was saying something about it in the DVD commentary I believe.

    He said something like 'Whereas the Jedi temple as five spires, the Emperor only has one which symbolises something or other.'

    Probably that the Jedi were community based and the Emperor is a crazy dictator.
