My mommy sent me a care package...it should be here today or tomorrow..and it has American Hershey's kisses in it!

Lucky you. My care packages include bottles of multi-vitamins and newspaper clippings.

Ah, but even those I would cherish. Just to get anything like this from my mom is a big deal to me. This is the first time she's been able to do something like this, even though she shouldn't have spent the money to ship it. She needs all she can get. But she loves me. And I love my mommy. :) Raisin yourself makes you appreciate more little things that your mom can do for you. Those of you who grew up with your parents, no matter how you feel now, you should consider yourselves very very very very lucky. Because you very much are.

I dunno... when I was living with my parents, I wasn't putting away $600 every month, after all the bills were paid. And I didn't have the freedom I have now.

I think I'm more lucky now.

I guess the freedom aspect would have something to do with it. But I meant something deeper. I don't know. I can't describe it. Maybe something emotional...I'm not sure.

I used to get grounded a lot. I remember when I was 11, and living on a military base in Pensacola, Florida (it's on the Panhandle)...it snowed for half a day! And I was grounded that day! So my ex-stepfather wouldn't let me go out and play in it. [face_plain]

LOL...it's been known to happen! But the panhandle is in the northern part...I was only about 15 minutes from the Alabama border. In south Florida, however, where I live now, it hasn't snowed there since the 1970's! I swear, if there was even a flurry, they would shut the entire city down. No kidding!

Sounds like Vancouver. 4 snowplows for a city of 1,000,000. 2 inches of snow leads to multi-car pileups because people don't know how to drive in it.
