Okay, I'm going to jump the gun here, because looking at the screen is giving me a headache, and I have a few other things to take care of before I pass out.

Difficulty: Easy

1. What film was the inspiration for A New Hope?

While there are no doubt other cinematic influences on GL's efforts with the OT, the predominant influence was the film Hidden Fortress. I can't think of anything witty to say, so that's it. Hidden Fortress.

2. What was Luke's nickname on Tatooine?

Wormie. It could have been worse. He could have been called "Syphilitic Pustule" if GL had gone to med school.

3. What is the significance of the number 1138?

"It's from GL's first film, THX 1138, incidentally, the same film also gave name to the sounds standard that LFL uses. Going back even farther, when George Lucas lived in the San Francisco Bay area, where the tunnel scenes in THX were filmed, one of his phone numbers was 849-1138, or as a mnemonic, THX-1138"

Kashyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyk. Only the illiterati spell it with three y's.

Joseph Campbell is the correct answer. Penthouse Forum, while fictional and containing mythological elements, was not the answer we were looking for. Yes, it is technically correct, but this is a family forum.

6. What is the etymology of "wookiee?"

"The etymology is from THX-1138, also, when one actor ad-libbed the
background dialogue, "It sounds like you ran over a Wookie(e)
back there!". The word is spelled with one E in the ANH
novelization, but with two E's in most other sources."

Again, S_J's answer says it all. And there is no truth to the rumor that this is the noise an ewok makes when stuffed in an industrial-sized blender. Empirical evidence points to other noises.

The correct answer is The Model Nodes, and not Kool and the Gang. They were simply the warm-up act.

Using the most modern of visual effects techniques, the "force field" was created by smearing Vaseline on the lens while filming. This explains a lot of the obviously fake visuals in TPM...

10. Physiologically, where is Vader's neck likely broken (and yes, I do want vertebrae names)?

The most medically accurate account of Vader's injury puts the severest injury likely at C3 or C4 (that is the 3rd or 4th cervical vertebrae for those non-medical types among us) - these are the vertebrae located inside the muscle sheath of the neck. Check the commentary on Vader's injuries here on TF.N.

Not that it was really needed, but the answer is Areopagetica. Milton did write other treatises, but this was the major prose work. Paradise Lost was indeed rendered into prose, but it is still principally a poetic work.

Slight correction to the answers above. I mistakenly put a translator droid on the Radiant. Further research has proven me to be a dumbass for forgetting that the ANH cruiser is actually the Tantive IV, the Radiant is not OT.

I haven't seen any of the people without plusses post anything about being unavailable anywhere. Also, to my admittedly inexperienced eye, I would say that JJDF413 , and maybe LukeSkywalker364364 are likely socks. You could have a mod check it out.
