Well, funding for social threads is tied to activity. It's like public radio; if we don't get the support, we don't get special features like markups, punctuation, and capital letters.

We do get a discount if we use British spellings, though.

Couple more days for voting. I think I'll run one more contest, and then that'll be it, unless suddenly the former populace of the thread turns out to resuscitate it, ala the population of Bedford Falls showing up at George Bailey's place at the end of "It's a Wonderful Life." It's been a heckuva run, considering we're the last original CT DF to exist in a continuous form since the great DF fad of summer 2001, but it might be time to say "good-bye," if the last few months are any indication.
