And I need to learn to parallel park. In NS, all you have to do is back into a parking space. That's too easy! They should have to suffer like us!

Wow, I'm not much older than some of you, and I'm younger than a lot of people here, but you people are making me feel old! I've had my licence for 5 years!

What parallel parking is the first thing you have to do in your test, because it can flunk you automatically!

I'll have had my beginners for two years at the end of April. :p

I hate this whole "growing up" thing. Im getting my SIN card thingys soon, looking for a real job (i.e. flipping burgers somewhere), trying to keep my grades up so i can get into a decent college/university, deciding what the hell i wanna do with my life, trying to find time to hang with my friends, and soon i'm gonna have to worry about pasing that idiot drivers test thing to.

idiot life, why cant i just be a monk or something living in some obscure European country? So all i'd have to worry about is eating and tending to the sheep.

Trust me, I know the feeling. I'm running around trying to get reference letters for scholarships, working my job (at which I do not flip burgers), trying to keep my grades up if for no other reason than the people ranked #2 and #3 saying "You're going down" and still trying to sleep once and a while.

I've had to beg so many letters from teachers. I've started calling it my reference "hit list". :p

LOL...it's kinda weird to sit here and read the things y'all are typin about school and college and stuff, and here I am gettin ready to walk that aisle for the second (and more than likely last) time! Time flies so fast...

    *very serious moment*

For those of you not graduated yet, or if you're gettin ready to start college, don't rush it. Take it slow. Time will fly by fast enough; it doesn't need help from you. Have fun, keep ahead of your work, and make it all you can, cause they will be some of the best years of your life. Take it from someone who is reaching the end of the formal schooling road...

    *end very serious moment*

Well, I guess I'm never fully getting away from school...I'm a teacher!

It's a bittersweet time. I'm looking forward to finishing, but I don't want to leave my friends. It's how it goes I guess.

Adam, to encourage you and your friend, I had very few references in high school too. You get more as you do more stuff. Right now, the best references would be anyone you've done volunteer work for. If you do volunteer work, then employers will look at that and say, "Hey, this guy's actually motivated and doesn't just work for the money!" They you'll get hired! :)

Did you ever babysit or anything? My first references were from that at volunteering.

I used to joke that at the rate we were going, we would be able to use my graduation as our third FF event. :p
