Well, my pick's going to be no surprise, going by my love for Rogues, so Dinner and SIlly Squadron takes Wedge Antilles.

A. I do not like 12 lists being sent to me with everyone's picks, just for me to come over and do all the Drafting myself. If you think you're going to be unable to make the 12 hour timelimit, then send me your lists. But I don't want people sending me PMs saying, "Well, I'm going to lunch, so incase I'm not here, here are my picks..." I'm the Commissioner, not a GM; i'm not supposed to be doing the Drafting.

Hmmm...I was debating between three players...

I pick Anakin Skywalker. Now, Vader may have everything Anakin does, plus more even, but you cannot argue that it's probably easier to build a team around Anakin (albeit, not that easy still), but nevertheless, team cohesion is very important in this draft.

 

Well, I'm gonna turn in, so if Durron gets his pick I probably won't pick until late tomorow morning

Interesting, I suppose it's possible for Anakin to go with either a PT Jedi squad or go with an Imperial team...if you go with the latter you'll score points with Jello.

 

Seriously, I hate having the second pick, even if I got Luke.

 

I know how you feel with the second pick. I think you can do better than I did though.

 

Anakin Skywalker =/= Darth Vader, so it would not work cohesively.

 

Wow! Awesome! I was not expecting to get this guy, and I was fearing having to build a team around Vader, but I guess things worked out for me. My pick is none other than...

I'm enjoying this. I can keep up with each team pretty easily. The Æ is going to be annoying to get typed in every time, though.

 

I get on...and I see Jaina went 6th? Whoa. I'm not knocking it, because, in my opinion, if you're looking to build a NJO team she's the best of the bunch and one of the top ten pilots overall, but not many people agree with me. She's gone in the second each of the last two drafts, and only went in the first in the first EUC draft with me taking her with the 12th pick.

 

Bah, Kyp's better, but even he would be going way early at #6. Still, it wouldn't be too tough for TR to put together something like what I had last draft, especially with the order the way it is.

And yeah, that Æ might get a little tedious after a while, but damnit, I like the name... even if it could easily be misinterpreted as "Enema Squadron".

I too was surprised by the Jaina pick. I think there are better first rounders, but perhaps TR is thinking of ways to appeal to a couple of the judges...

It goes: Kyp>Jag>Jaina, but honestly, each match is so ridiculously close that I'm not going to argue too hard for my little order. Any one of them could beat either of the other two on any given day. Kyp and Jag are better leaders, though.

I'm going for cohesion here, as well as sill But also I think that Jaina is underrated in this draft, and can easily take out most of the late first rounders. The only place where she is easily beaten is XP, and even then, not by much. IMO she's directly under the uber group of Luke, Anakin, Wedge, Vader, Fel.


I agree that jag and jaina are pretty much equal, but I think that they are both a little better then Kyp, although he has a bit more XP.
