I wouldn't build too much headcanon around Kylo, Rey and Luke "working together." I'm still waiting for some solid backup or spoilers that Kylo is stranded on Ahch-to. I think it would make more sense that, after the Rey-Kylo battle or in the midst of it, during an interruption, etc - the FO descends on Ahch-to and Luke, Rey, Chewie and Artoo take off in the Falcon (as seen in the teaser with the Falcon up against tie fighters).

Do we know for sure that the scene with the Falcon & TIEs is on Ahch-To? I only saw sky and no land....

For once, I like a Mike Zeroh rumor (via somehow other site I am sure) *waits for tomatoes to be flung at me*. The idea that Luke will INITALLY just let Rey explore the force on her own as he observes and ever so softly nudges her in the right direction is something I think can be different and cool.

That is why I was really excited about the early rumors about Luke and Rey being at the casino. It fit into Ardnt's draft for TFA that Luke is kinda of a Jedi Master Pipe Piper kinda steering his new student instead of direct teaching. It's like Luke is leading her on a spiritual journey (and vice versa) then a traditional master-student relationship. I kinda got bummed when I heard they will be on the inland throughout instead (at least for the first two acts it seems) but it seems like Luke could so the same Jedi Master Piper routine on the inland via Mike Zeroh of all people. And again I find that to be potentially awesome *waits for more tomatoes to be thrown at my face*.

You can see the sea, briefly. It definitely isn't Crait because a) no clouds on that planet (while Ahch-to is cloudy) and b) it seems to be one of earlier events, possibly earlier than Canto Bight. It isn't Canto Bight because those scenes happen around the time of Ahch-to fight (based on the clap board). So it's likely one of these scenarios:

    a) Rey, Luke, etc get off Ahch-to when they are found by FO. I'm thinking that star destroyer that Finn@};- are on may be heading there which would converge 2 plots nicely plus give personal stakes and urgency to the infiltration. I'm also using Lego set as a reference cause it has Rey, Luke and ??? (undisclosed character) and 2 Storm Troopers. So that may hint at FO arrival in the third act. Another Lego was on the money that BB8 joins Finn and ??? (@};-) as MSW later confirmed.

    b) it's how Kylo and his buddies come to Ahch-to (since Kylo has a TIE so maybe they do too) and crash on it (shot down by the Falcon)

We'll see what NTIP says. I'm hoping that the delay is because they are trying to put the movie scenes in order now that they have some visual input. They say that TFA trailer helped them piece together that movie.

I'm an Ewok apologist. Cutesy things definitely have a place in this series, considering the Saga is at its core a whimsical adventure that occasionally strays into dark fantasy. But even dark fantasy has cutesy stuff in it; it's all about balance and, like GregMcP said, dynamic range. Stay Ewoke, guys. Give the porgs a chance.

All I can tell is that the Falcon is in the atmosphere (close to land) and is being pursued by ties. So that tells me the Falcon is leaving a planet or land being invaded by the FO. Ahch-to would fit since we know the Falcon and the FO definitely cross paths there. But I suppose it could be another planet later on in the film - but that's something that hasn't been revealed yet per spoilers or rumors. But supposedly the teaser was mostly the first act.

OMG, pure brilliance! ^:)^=D= That should be adopted around here. Great rest of the post, on the money what true nature of SW really is.

Yeah, I mentioned this a few pages ago, but I'm definitely getting my girlfriend a plush of one of these for Christmas. It'll go with the Ewok my brother got me and the Yoda I got him last year. "Look how cute its stupid face is, there's no way I'm not buying it," I think is what he said.

The problem with Ewoks wasn't that they were too kiddie or whatever but that the whole Endor plot was deathly-paced filler. Nobody came out of it smelling like roses. So if Ahch-to plot is important and engaging, Porgs will be fine. I'm a fan of the design, what they represent and those spoiler snippets about Chewie going native.

Like Chuck said during the Del Rey panel. "You should always have two of them in your posse (Ewoks). They will kill people with rocks and provide you food to eat."

Plus you had the entire silliness of these tiny stone age primitives defeating the damn Galactic Empire. Sorry guys, but there are some technological gaps that CAN'T be overcome.

    Yeah, that's never happened before.

That's what happens when an army that's too sure of themselves that doesn't know the terrain as well as the natives comes face to face with guerrilla warfare. The Ewoks were freaking savage. Some of their traps are a little hard to look at when you actually think of what physically just happened to the stormtrooper in question who was just brutally murdered.

I'm glad to see that AT-STs have less effective armor than early WW2 tanks.

Listening to it now and the only thing of interest about TLJ so far is Jason doesn't think the teaser is indicative of the "texture or feel" of the film, partly because most of the footage/images released come from early in the film.

I've not read any of Zeroh's theories, and while I don't want to lend any credence to them (I don't like tomatoes), I will say that while Ben and Yoda sent in Luke with the skills to defend himself, It was Luke who was able to find "the way" through his own intuition:

LUCAS: It will be about how young Anakin Skywalker became evil and then was redeemed by his son. But it's also about the transformation of how his son came to find the call and then ultimately realize what it was. Because Luke works intuitively through most of the original trilogy until he gets to the very end. And it's only in the last act--when he throws his sword down and says, "I'm not going to fight this"--that he makes a more conscious, rational decision. And he does it at the risk of his life because the Emperor is going to kill him. It's only that way that he is able to redeem his father.

I keep thinking back to AOTC, when Ben was able to block Dooku's lighting with the lightsaber. It would have been very helpful had Ben forewarned Luke about Palp's lightning powers, as well as the ability to block them. How might ROTJ have played out differently if Luke kept his lightsaber and blocked the lightning? Would Anakin have turned if his son wasn't in mortal danger?

    Kinda makes one wonder...

It shouldn't make you wonder. Luke didn't go there to kill the Emperor or even to fight him. Luke didn't go there to kill or fight Vader. He went there to save him. He told Leia that there was still good in him (Vader) and he could still save him. He had to at least try. Luke knew fighting for his father was not the way to save his father. Vader knew that Luke loved him otherwise Luke would not have come to him. (his compassion for you...) Luke put himself in a situation, and was willing to die if it didn't work, where Vader would embrace the good because of the love he had for his son.
I think that Luke could have won if he fought the Emperor, but Luke knew that if he fought the Emperor then his Father would be lost forever.
