    [your username here] - Welcome to TFN! :D

    This is a compilation of the latest and greatest links, programs, tutorials, resources, and just about anything else that's helpful in the process of making your fanfilm. I like to call this the "everything" sticky because there are literally links to just about everything in here! Feel free to add your own links and suggestions to the mix - just please keep the discussion of programs and such to their respective topics.

    Note that this is NOT a sticky about forum rules and behavior; [link=http://boards.theforce.net/Fan_Films/b10015/18337989]we have other fine posts on that subject[/link], and encourage you to check them out at your leisure.

    This thread is broken down into several sections:

    (NOTE: Free software is highlighted in [hl=#ffff00]yellow[/hl].)

    If you have a video camera there are ways to make an entire movie using nothing but freeware so be sure to take a look at the highlighted programs. Don't be afraid to check out the programs that cost money though, as generally they will help you achieve a much more professional result.

    Loops-based program with FX, sampling, recording, film dubbing, etc. Check this puppy out for your musical composition needs. Loops are all over the 'net.

    [link=http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/main.html]Adobe Audition[/link]
    Another great program by Adobe - this one is a great package for all your audio editing needs.

    A great audio editing/effects program - this is extremely powerful for a free application!

    [hl=#ffff00][link=http://www.goldwave.com]GoldWave[/link][/hl]
    Shareware program, but works near-fully-featured for up to 150 commands (then you must save it, close it, and reopen it to keep working). But it's worth it!

    [link=http://www.apple.com/logicpro/]Logic[/link]
    Once again Apple comes through with a great piece of software - this program gives the music buffs out there amazing control over the creation of their masterpiece.

    [hl=#ffff00][link=http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/5021]PlayerPro[/link][/hl]
    PlayerPRO is both complete music editing software and a SoundTracker player. You can use it with any Mac, without any specific hardware.

    [hl=#ffff00][link=http://www.digidesign.com/ptfree/index.html]Pro Tools Free[/link][/hl]
    Here's the free version of the extremely well-known package Pro Tools. It's big brother has been used in sound studios and many more locations for years and is one of the standards in the business.

    [link=http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/products/showproduct.asp?PID=961]Sound Forge[/link]
    This program gives you extreme control over tiny adjustments in the world of sound editing. There's very little you can't do to your audio with this application.

    [link=http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/soundtrackpro/]Soundtrack[/link]
    This program is a great all-around audio editing/creation application for Mac that uses a gigantic expandable library of sound loops to fit your needs.

    [hl=#ffff00][link=http://www.wma-mp3-converter.net/]WMA-MP3-WAV Converter[/link][/hl]
    Has a free version and was recommended by forum user.
