Might Be useful!
In case you didn't already notice it; Video tutorials by me. Currently only lightsabers, but more coming very soon Also looking for a place to host them; yousendit isn't very good for hosting more than one week...
Just finished a HTML tutorial for creating a lightsaber glow in Blender using the composite nodes. I made the tutorial so that anyone can use it, even if you have never opened Blender before. So here is the link. Blender Tutorial. Thanks
Maybe this is the wrong thread, but do Adobe sell older versions of After effects on their site? Coz ive looked around their site and Ill Ive found is CS3
I made this costume in 1 day for my Niece this past halloween out of cardboard!!! It cost me about $5 to make.
Here is a short VT to get you started.
I have 7.0 pro for sale
for those who wants to look at my "lightsabers and more" tutorial, be sure to be quick about it. The webpage it's hosted on will be offline from December 1st, as I'm starting up aurellia. With video tutorials, I will not need the old page.
EDIT: Wrong content in thread so I'll post it elsewhere. How do you delete these things anyway?
Does anyone know if there is a website or place I can get some free green or bluescreen stock footage?
What are you looking for?
Sweet, I love it. And that's all cardboard? How'd you make the helmet?
And those missles on the writs, are they from the old GI Joe's?
People or objects in front of a green or bluescreen
Hey, I tried clicking the link to TFN's Sound FX page, but it said "forbidden". I need some "Force" sounds. Force push, Force choke...where can I get these? PM me if you can help! Thanks in advance!
what is a program that allows you to synch sound fx to video clips. lssound won't let me import any sound in or any of that, and it is really ticking me off. i know WHERE to GET the sounds.... but that is about it. please help me!
You mean just an audio/video editor? Windows Movie Maker? iMovie?
(Try looking one of those up, if that's what you mean.)
I've got the game Force sounds... is there anywhere that has sounds that actually sound like the Force from the films? I can only use the Darth Maul Force push so many times.
How do you guys go about making your tutorials?
I'm asking because I was thinking about making a text tutorial for opening crawls in After Effects.
I know, I know, there are quite a few "crawl tutorials" around, but I've noticed a lack of AE tutorials that let you make more authentic-looking STAR WARS crawls. There's always something, like the text not being justified properly, or the timing being off, or incorrect fonts, always something missing.
I want to create a step-by-step tutorial that someone who has no idea what they're doing can use to create a crawl that looks like the real thing and while most crawl tutorials, give you the basics, as I've said, there always tends to be something missing (I've noticed that aligning text seems to be the biggest problem that people have).
Unfortunately, I don't have any camera or anything to create a video tutorial, so it will have to be a text tutorial.
Does anyone have any tips on creating a good tutorial? Obviously, making it clear and simple to understand (with pictures) is a must. Anything else?
Ah, so you need a tutorial on making a tutorial!?!
I'd like to see one too, so don't feel alone...
...only I'm looking for the A/V version so many fans seem to have: records the screen and a real-time voiceover.
What software does that, and is it expensive?
I know a lot of people use Camtasia. That'll do the trick.
I think I can put this here
how making a video into a moving picture?
is there any free software to do this?
a video into a animated gif?
