http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/impossible/trailers/impossible-clip-scared-too-060000368.html This the clip I think Angelina Jolie was raving about...
No one...no one pays me attention anymore? *I* thought it was a great clip, myself (3rd clip on the link)
That clip with the lightsabers is so awesome! That whole episode of Graham Norton was absolutely fantastic, I think I watched it like 5 times or more. So cute and funny! It's a great clip, really shows Ewan's emotions coming through in the acting. I think he is the absolute best at that. Thanks for sharing. Did you see the clip that I posted???
Hello Ewan fans, happy new year! Finally managed to watch The Impossible and i gotta say, i loved it. It's quite beautiful, yet tragic and sad at the same time. I think Ewan, Noami and the kids gave incredible performances. Have a tissue handy though, i cried my eyeballs out a few times
I want to see The Impossible sooo bad! However,I have to buy textbooks for college,so that won't be any time soon. Has anyone else seen Salmon Fishing In The Yemen?
Yes! SFitY is one of my absolute favorites, it's adorable and funny, and I think the acting and the storytelling is really great. It borders on a tiny cheesy at a couple points, but it's really a fun watch
I enjoyed SFITY as well, i thought it was a beautiful movie and message. Ewan and Emily have great chemistry too
I just returned from The Impossible and I can't recommend it enough. It's gritty and real and dirty (soil & blood). Man, did Naomi Watts and Tom Holland deserve the Golden Globe noms. Not having seen the competition, I can't *say* they should win and it would be a travesty if they didn't - oh, heck - based on their performances I WOULD say that. And Ewan was spectacular as well. The only scene I didn't watch was the puking up...
Going tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing a review! sounds absolutely spectacular
He should have been, sounds like. I believe he was nominated for a critics choice and I know from my handy dandy twitter he was in Palm Springs to collect award a couple days ago and there was something a few weeks ago as well. He is getting some recognition. Latest Oscar buzz seems to have fallen completely away from this movie, except for Naomi. Which disappoints me, but ah well
I just love being under a picture of Ewan and I have to wait until 24 January to see the impossible here in Australia.
I know, right? it's frustrating that this movie and the performances in it just dont have the buzz they should be having for awards season. Everyone was superb, and the movie itself i thought was very well done. It's a tough situation because the tsunami was such a tragic event, and yet stories like this family's show courage and hope in the middle of such a tragedy. I though the movie did excellent in balancing both aspects. Even if Ewan wasnt in this movie, i would still feel the same. His performance in that telephone scene just broke me down completely *sigh*. I cried many times during this movie lol
