I'm actually surprised this thread still exists. It ceased functioning a long time ago when the need finally disappeared.

 

I saw the "c-word" used last night!

It wasn't heated or anything, but it did come up a couple times. See, we still have a purpose for being around!

No, we really don't do anything anymore. There really isn't anything to do. But it's nice to still have this here to check in from time to time, and see if anyone has been posting. There's a lot of memories here.

 

Memories in here and the other (older) threads... thats about it these days.

So, have any of you been keeping up with what's going on in the EU?

I haven't read an EU book in probably close to two years now, and I have no idea what has been released or what has been going on. I'm really out of the loop.

 

OMG! You have missed so much. Some things were great and other things not so great. If you need any catching up you can go to wookieepedia and start with the book you left off from and they always have what it's followed by. But things have been crazy in the books. Lots of stuff no one thought would happen, happened.

 

I was in one of these a while back but anyways...can I rejoin?

What have I read in the EU?

I kinda went rogue, in a way, as I'm against DN and LOTF as it's just commercialism. It should have ended with TUF IMHO. Alliegance rocked, it was the best EU novel I read in a while and I hope Zahn will right more. Maybe, just maybe go back to the Prequel Era and do a political one about Padme before AOTC.

I have yet to read Coruscant Nights, though I'm looking forward to it as I love noir and hardboiled.

 

I've been keeping up with it all as much as ever... didn't care for DN all that much, but I definitely enjoyed LotF. Haven't gotten a chance to read Coruscant Nights yet, though I have picked it up, so it should be soon. I can't decide whether I'm going to wait to finish rereading the series I'm currently on or put that on hold while I read the new book...

Also, I'm glad Zahn's been writing more books lately, hopefully that will continue.

 

I want him to write a Clone Wars novel with Pellaeon in it, but not JUST about that. Zahn was the first to mention the Clone Wars, fitting that he should have a novel there.

Maybe even with Car'das in it

I was thinking about I_F last night too. He hasn't logged in for almost two years though. Most people probably don't think about the JC 10 years in their everyday life. It was only coincidence that I logged in at the right time to catch the festivities.

And it sounds like I have a loooot of catching up to on the EU side of things.
