First off let me say how pleased I am with the way the EU Character of the Year awards are running @Robimus, job well done thus far. Secondly, it is now well into 15 JAN and no major objections have been raised to postponing the elections until 15 FEB. So I am going to deem this motion passed. Purpose: To extend the current term of Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor to 15 FEB 2013. Given the lack of activity in the current Senate due to the machinations of the dreaded Darth Real Life (DRL), the current term of the Chancellor (Sinrebirth) and Vice-Chancellor (the hard working, intelligent and ever so good looking Bardan_Jusik) shall be extended to 15 FEB 2013. Nominations for their successors to begin on 1 FEB 2013 and to be completed by 5 FEB 2013 to allow for a ten day "campaigning period". Voting for Chancellor/Vice-Chancellor to commence 15 FEB 2013 and run through 18 FEB 2013. Votes shall be tallied by the Empress of Light (the lady Adalia-Durron). The term of the new Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor to begin no later than 19 FEB 2013 and will run through to 15 JUL 2013 when new elections will take place.
My only issue is that per the Constitution the minister of internal affairs is to tally the votes via the update sock. Sent from a Galaxy far away via R2-N6
I put forward Addie's name in case the Minister of Internal Affairs ends up being nominated. Given the "emergency" nature of this I wanted to cut as much red tape as possible. As it is the measure has passed and the issue is closed.
Sounds fair. I won't be standing (or sitting) for any position this time around...so consider me like a god, looking down upon you all ready to judge you!
Of course, all a part of the service. As an aside, I will be opening the Senate up to nominations to fill the next term for Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor in a couple of days.

After much deliberation I have decided to nominate the wise, strong and ever so trustworthy @s65horsey for the office of Chancellor. I can think of no one better to lead us in these troubling, Episode VII ridden times.
